Inside Prince Khalid’s private Boeing 747SP-68.

Beyond the master suite lies an extraordinary collection of spaces designed for living, entertaining, and even medical care at 40,000 feet.

From expansive lounges and intimate seating areas to a fully equipped medical suite, every environment was conceived to serve a distinct purpose while maintaining a cohesive architectural identity.

Rich burl wood veneers, bespoke upholstery, intricate floor patterns, decorative artwork, and carefully integrated lighting reflect the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that defined this remarkable aircraft.

What makes this project particularly fascinating is the contrast between its environments—from the warmth and richness of the residential spaces to the clean, clinical precision of the medical suite.

FROM THE ARCHIVES — KALAIR BOEING 767

A look back at Prince Khalid’s private Boeing 767-3P6ER, a project conceived around the idea that a widebody aircraft could become a true private residence in the sky.

The generous proportions of the 767 allowed us to move beyond conventional aircraft interiors, creating a series of highly tailored spaces for entertaining, dining, working and relaxing—all unified through bespoke cabinetry, rich materials and carefully considered architectural detailing.

Looking back at KALAIR today, it represents another chapter in the evolution of our approach to private aviation: designing the experience first, and the aircraft around it.

A look back at Boeing BBJ 737-77W Demonstrator 1 — YG001, and an early chapter in the evolution of the Boeing Business Jet.

Designed at a time when the BBJ was redefining what a private aircraft could be, the interior was conceived not simply as an aircraft cabin, but as a residential environment in the sky—with generous social spaces, rich materials, bespoke furnishings and the comfort of a private home.

More than two decades later, it’s fascinating to revisit the work and see which ideas have endured—and how far private aviation design has evolved.
