Installation at 281 Van Brunt St Brooklyn NY

At this location, our team installed EMT conduit runs in both the north and south stairways of the building. Each conduit pathway was approximately four feet per run and extended throughout the building from the 6th floor down to the 1st floor. These conduit pathways are a critical part of the infrastructure because they provide protected routing for low-voltage cabling systems including security cameras, wireless access points, intercom systems, and future network expansion.

Proper conduit installation is one of the most important steps in commercial structured cabling. It helps protect network cables from physical damage, improves organization, increases safety, and ensures the installation meets professional building standards. At DV Comm Systems, we understand that strong communication infrastructure begins with properly planned pathways.

In addition to the conduit installation, our technicians assisted with infrastructure preparation to support the structured cabling system throughout the building. This included organizing cable routes, preparing pathways for future cable pulls, and coordinating with contractors to ensure the installation process remained efficient and professional.

Another important task completed during this project involved removing an existing wall-mounted network rack so contractors could install sheetrock behind the wall.
To maximize productivity and maintain project progress, the team also visited individual apartment units throughout the building to inspect and install missing Caddy CAT7 fasteners. These fasteners are essential for supporting and securing network cabling pathways while maintaining a clean and organized installation. Proper cable support reduces stress on the cabling system and helps maintain long-term network reliability and performance.

Projects like this demonstrate the behind-the-scenes work required to build reliable communication systems in modern residential and commercial buildings. From conduit installation and cable support systems to rack relocation and infrastructure coordination, every detail matters when building a dependable low-voltage network.

Day Two in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania – Going the Extra Mile for Our Customers

Today we’re bringing you along for Day Two of another successful installation project, this time in beautiful East Stroudsburg.

This project started as a standard networking and remote viewing setup, but as always, DV Comm Systems believes in doing more than what is written on paper.

On day two, we completed and tested the customer’s internet connection to make certain everything was operating properly and efficiently. Stable internet service is the backbone of modern security and smart home technology. Without a reliable network, remote cameras, smart thermostats, and monitoring systems cannot function correctly.

After confirming the network was stable, we enabled remote viewing access for the customer’s security camera system. This allows the customer to safely and securely monitor her property directly from her smartphone while traveling.

Whether she is across town or relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Jamaica attending a wedding and vacationing with family, she can now check her cameras in real time and know her home is secure.

In addition to the security system work, we also reset and reconfigured the customer’s smart thermostat onto the new Wi-Fi network.

Many people underestimate how important this small step can be. A properly connected smart thermostat allows homeowners to remotely control heating and cooling temperatures directly from their phones or tablets.

If temperatures suddenly drop, the homeowner can raise the heat remotely to protect plumbing pipes from freezing. If energy costs become a concern, temperatures can be adjusted instantly while away from home.

In today’s world, many companies only focus on completing the minimum required work. At DV Comm Systems, we believe real customer service means taking the extra step whenever possible.

Remote viewing systems have become one of the most valuable technologies for homeowners today. Modern systems allow customers to:

Combined with reliable internet infrastructure and properly configured smart devices, these systems provide homeowners with security, convenience, and peace of mind.

Modern Office Cabling & Communication Infrastructure Installation

In today’s fast-paced business world, companies are constantly evolving, expanding, and relocating into newer and more modern office spaces. But relocating a business involves far more than moving desks and furniture. Behind every successful move is a reliable communication infrastructure that keeps businesses connected, secure, and operating efficiently.
When businesses need professional structured cabling, network installations, security cameras, wireless access points, or wall-mounted data cabinet solutions, they trust DV Comm Systems to get the job done professionally, neatly, and efficiently.
One of the biggest challenges in modern office environments is maintaining a clean and attractive appearance while still installing the technology businesses depend on every day. Many premium office spaces today are designed with exposed ceilings, concrete walls, open architecture, and limited access for hidden cabling.
In locations where there are no drop ceilings or sheetrock walls, every detail matters. Every cable pathway, every cabinet, and every device becomes visible to the customer, employees, and visitors. That means the installation itself must become part of the office’s professional appearance.

This particular project for Michael Andrews is a perfect example of the DV Comm Systems difference. The client required a professional communication infrastructure installation that would blend seamlessly into the office space while maintaining a modern and elegant appearance.

Our team installed structured Category 6 network cabling, professionally mounted wall cabinets, security camera infrastructure, and organized cable pathways designed for long-term reliability and clean presentation.

Every cable was carefully routed, terminated, tested, and labeled to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and future serviceability. We believe that quality installations begin with planning, precision, and attention to detail.

The result was a clean, organized, and visually appealing communication system that supports the client’s business operations while enhancing the professional appearance of the office.

In an industry where milliseconds matter and data breaches can cost millions, the infrastructure behind your network plays a direct role in protecting your operations, your clients, and your reputation.

Fiber optics offer:

Extremely high bandwidth
Faster data transmission
Resistance to electromagnetic interference
Long-distance signal integrity

For financial institutions handling massive volumes of sensitive data, this is a game-changer.

One of the biggest security advantages of fiber optic cabling is how difficult it is to tap or intercept.
With copper cables, hackers can potentially access data through electromagnetic signals. But with fiber optics:

There is no electromagnetic radiation to intercept
Any attempt to tap the cable typically causes signal disruption
Breaches are easier to detect

For banks and financial firms, this adds a powerful physical layer of security to complement cybersecurity software.

In finance, speed equals opportunity, and sometimes profit.
Fiber optic cabling supports:

Low latency transactions
Real-time data processing
Seamless communication between systems

Financial institutions are subject to strict regulations when it comes to data protection and privacy. Fiber optic infrastructure helps support compliance by:

Providing secure data transmission pathways
Reducing the risk of data leakage
Supporting documented, certified installations

When paired with certified cabling and proper documentation, fiber optics help organizations meet industry standards and avoid costly penalties.

Fiber optic cabling isn’t just about today, it’s about preparing for the future.
It offers:
Scalability for growing data demands
Longer lifespan than traditional cabling
Reduced maintenance issues
For financial institutions planning long-term growth, fiber provides a future-proof foundation that supports both performance and security.

In the financial world, there is no room for compromise when it comes to security. Fiber optic cabling delivers speed, reliability, and a superior level of protection that traditional systems simply cannot match.
It’s not just an upgrade, it’s a necessity.

Enhancing Data Security

In today’s digital world, data is one of the most valuable assets any business can have. From customer information to financial records, protecting that data is not optional, it’s essential. One of the most overlooked, yet critical components of data protection is the network infrastructure itself, specifically, certified cabling systems.

The Foundation of Secure Communication

Every secure network begins with a strong physical foundation. Certified cabling ensures that all cables, whether Category 6, Category 6A, or fiber optic, are installed, tested, and verified to meet strict industry standards such as TIA/EIA.
When your cabling is certified, your data travels through a stable and predictable pathway, reducing the chances of corruption or loss.

Preventing Data Loss

Uncertified or poorly installed cabling can lead to packet loss, signal degradation, and intermittent connectivity.
Certified cabling eliminates these risks by ensuring every cable run is tested for performance, continuity, and compliance. This guarantees that your data reaches its destination intact—every time.

Reducing Unauthorized Access Risks

Data security isn’t just about firewalls and software, it also includes physical security. Certified cabling installations follow best practices that reduce vulnerabilities.
A clean, well-documented cabling system makes it significantly harder for unauthorized individuals to tamper with or intercept your network.

Supporting Encrypted and High-Speed Data

Modern security protocols rely heavily on high-speed, stable connections to function effectively. When your infrastructure is built to handle high bandwidth, your security systems—like encrypted communications and surveillance networks—perform at their best without interruption.

Peace of Mind Through Documentation

One of the biggest advantages of certified cabling is documentation. With professional certification tools, such as advanced cable analyzers, every cable is tested and recorded.
Knowing your network meets industry standards gives you peace of mind that your data is protected from the ground up.

Child Safety: Protecting What Matters Most with Security Cameras

As parents, guardians, and educators, we can’t be everywhere at once. Children are naturally curious, active, and sometimes unaware of potential dangers. Whether they are at home, in school, or at a daycare facility, having an extra set of eyes can make all the difference.
That’s where security cameras come in.
Cameras can help prevent accidents. For example, if a child is playing near stairs, a pool area, or in a backyard, a quick alert or visual check can allow a parent to act immediately. In emergency situations, seconds matter, and cameras provide real-time awareness.
Now let’s look at schools.
In educational environments, security cameras help maintain a safe and structured setting. Hallways, entrances, playgrounds, and common areas can be monitored to ensure students are protected throughout the day. Staff can quickly respond to incidents such as bullying, unauthorized access, or unsafe behavior.
This doesn’t just improve safety,it also promotes accountability.
Students and staff are more likely to follow rules and maintain respectful behavior when they know there is a system in place that supports a safe environment. It creates a culture of responsibility and awareness.
If something does happen, recorded footage provides clear evidence. This helps school administrators and parents understand exactly what occurred, allowing for fair and informed decisions.
And just like with video intercom systems, remote access is a game changer.
Parents and administrators can securely view camera feeds from their mobile devices or computers. Whether you’re at work, traveling, or in another part of the building, you remain connected and informed.
Knowing that your child is in a safe, monitored environment reduces stress and builds confidence. It allows parents to focus on their work and daily responsibilities, knowing they can check in at any moment.
Because when it comes to children, there is no room for compromise.
Protecting them, guiding them, and keeping them safe is a responsibility we all share, and technology gives us the tools to do it better than ever before.

Today, I’m taking you along on a real-world installation project in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, inside a private community in Blue Mountain Lake.
This is a perfect example of how we help homeowners stay connected and protected, no matter where they are in the world.
This home is now equipped with a powerful 8-channel Network Video Recorder, also known as an NVR, paired with eight high-performance security cameras.
These are not your basic cameras, these are 4-megapixel, full-color cameras designed to capture clear, detailed images both day and night.
That means no grainy black-and-white footage at night.
Instead, the homeowner gets full-color video 24/7,
which significantly improves identification,
visibility,
and overall security.
Each camera is weatherproof, making them ideal for outdoor installation. Whether it’s rain,
snow, or extreme temperatures, these cameras are built to perform reliably in all conditions.
We also installed a 2-terabyte hard drive inside the NVR. This provides plenty of storage for recorded footage, allowing the homeowner to review past events whenever needed.
Storage capacity is critical in any surveillance system, and this setup ensures continuous recording without frequent overwriting.
One of the most important features of this installation is remote viewing capability.
This allows the homeowner to monitor her property directly from her smartphone, tablet, or computer, from anywhere in the world.
And in this case, that’s exactly what she needed.
While she’s enjoying her vacation on the beautiful island of Jamaica,
she can still keep a close eye on her home in Pennsylvania.
Whether it’s checking live footage,
reviewing recordings,
or receiving alerts, she has complete control and peace of mind right at her fingertips.
We don’t just install cameras,
we design systems that provide security,
reliability,
and peace of mind.
Every installation is done with precision, clean cable management, and a focus on long-term performance.
If you’re a homeowner,
property manager,
or business owner looking to upgrade your security system,
this is the level of service and quality you can expect from us.

Better Network Management

A company calls in their IT team because their network keeps dropping. Internet is slow, phones are glitching, and security cameras are going offline. The technician walks into the network room, and it’s a disaster. Cables tangled everywhere, no labels, patch panels disorganized, what we call a “spaghetti mess.”
Now, instead of fixing the issue in minutes, the technician spends hours just trying to identify which cable goes where.
This is not just inefficient,it’s costly.
A properly installed and organized cabling system. Every cable is neatly routed. Patch panels are labeled. Color-coded patch cords identify different systems, data, voice, cameras, and access points. Cable managers keep everything clean and separated.
Now when an issue occurs, the technician can immediately locate the problem, isolate it, and resolve it quickly.
That’s the power of structured cabling done right.
Let’s break it down.
When your cabling infrastructure is organized, network management becomes simple. Moves, adds, and changes, what we call MAC work, can be done quickly without disrupting the entire system. Need to add a new workstation? It’s a clean patch, labeled port, done in minutes.
Troubleshooting also becomes faster and more accurate. Instead of guessing, your IT team can trace connections directly from the patch panel to the endpoint. This reduces downtime and prevents unnecessary disruptions to your business operations.
Another key advantage is documentation and certification.
As your business grows, your network needs to grow with it. An organized cabling system allows you to expand without starting from scratch. You can add switches, extend connections, and integrate new technologies without chaos.
And don’t forget about aesthetics and professionalism.
When clients, inspectors, or partners see a clean, well-organized network rack, it reflects the quality of your business. It shows that you value precision, reliability, and long-term performance.
