Currently we are laying the bluestone front steps
There is one step a bottom landing and a top landing
The bottom landing main stone is 8 feet by 34” x2”
Very heavy and a difficult fit

Bluestone has arrived
We laid the first two slabs at base of the new stoop
The stone from upstate New York is a lighter than normal hue it’s quite different
Next the risers and treads
Cutting and shaping the stone where necessary is where a lot of time is spent

2025 we are preparing to finish bulkhead and instal capping stainless 22 guage custom bent

Courtyard almost completely finished in structure the partition finish concrete walls have dried nicely the courtyard slab is down
We covered it and heated it during curing
The bluestone from a ny quarry is on its way

Now that the brick work which is a glazed speckled finish has been completed we are now able to build our bluestone gully
The stoop itself does not touch the building and the stainless steel goes below the finished height
The bluestone is a forever material and is part of the history of New York stoops I particularly like it
Once the gully is completed we will instal the steel deck and build an enclosed 4 inch I beam to span the openings
