BEWARE the smart meter. I suspect that many of the recent complaints about crazy high bills may be due to the switch to a smart meter. There are lots of reports here on LI and other parts of the country of inaccurate smart meter readings.

Check your PSEG bill, especially if you have a smart meter, and make sure you didn't get charged for power when the grid was down. OR better yet, go solar and never worry about your bill again. Ask me how! Click the link below and answer a few questions.

SOLAR PERGOLA. It's a great way to get some solar energy without using your roof. Consider this if:

*You don't have any roof space suitable for solar panels
*You don't want solar panels on your roof
*You want to add to your existing solar system but ran out of roof
space
*You have a patio or deck that you'd like to cover, and still have
natural light shining through
*You think it makes sense to start saving money monthly with zero
up front cost
*You'd like to take advantage of the federal solar tax credit before
it reduces in January 2021 and essentially get 26% off the cost
of the project

4 REASONS NOT TO GO SOLAR IN LONG ISLAND

Does switching to solar power make sense for you? It might not. Here are 4 reasons NOT to go solar:

1. Your average monthly PSEG bill is less than $99
2. Your roof is shaded from 10 am-3 pm
3. You cannot claim the tax credits
4. You’re moving in less than 12 months

HOWEVER, If:
Your power bills are over $99/month,
Your roof is open to the sun from 10am-3pm,
You can claim the tax credits,
You’re not planning on moving within 12 months... It doesn't hurt to know your options.
