TPDA & Friends Fall Outing 🍂🍁🌳! We had a super fun time learning about the cultivation of Bonsai trees and planting our very own ones. Did you know that most trees can be made into a Bonsai and that the art of Bonsai goes back nearly 2000 years? Bonsai represents the idea of a perfect balance between nature and art and we will enjoy taking care of our trees for years to come!

Fall is here! We are embracing the warmth of the new season with rich textures and earthy tones. 🍂✨ This week’s finish board brings nature’s beauty indoors. Plaid upholstery adds a cozy, rustic charm bringing out the warmth of wood while pairing nicely with the sustainable cork wallcovering. Complimentary paint colors, a suede finish dark stone, and a gold mini mosaic tile complement the soothing seasonal palette.

Take a look at one of our recently completed projects, the renovated Bishop Boardman Residences in Brooklyn, New York. The entire design had a biophilic approach with emphasis on natural patterns and timeless textures in a subdued, rich color palette. The interior renovation includes the reimagining of the Lobby, Corridors and Tenant amenity spaces, like a Game and Arts & Crafts Room. We selected complimentary artwork depicting unique nature motifs and iconic New York City landmark imagery. We hope the residents will enjoy the new space! 🌇🗽🍂

We’d like to share construction progress from our site visit at a Parish Hall in Queens. The beautiful wood look accent siding and porch ceiling are not what you think they are at first sight. This really nice panel product, a fiber cement siding, can be used vertically or horizontally. It has the warmth and aesthetic of natural wood but at a lower cost and without the durability concerns or compromising quality. We cannot wait to see the final result.🪵

Wisdom Wednesday! Did you know that tech tools can help increase motivation and self-esteem when used in a learning environment, the same way that interior design can? By creating a conducive and inspiring environment, good interior design can make a significant difference in students’ overall educational experience and success.

On this project, at the prestigious Archbishop Molloy High School in New York, we designed the new classrooms and cutting edge computer labs to be technology centered.

We had a fun summer afternoon practicing our weaving skills at the Nanimarquina showroom 🧶. Making rugs is much harder than we thought but we had a great time nevertheless. We certainly appreciate the craft of hand woven rugs now more than ever!

Transformation Wednesday 🛠️ We replaced the entire marquee and glazing at the entry to these residences to create a more welcoming experience. The marquee is clad with powder coated sheet metal in different textures to bring depth and regality to the exterior on the street level. Check out the last photo for the before pic!
