A minute of our new homeschool journey…
This season truly feels like a gift I get to unwrap every morning.🫏💗
The sweetest and most precious quality family time we’ve ever imagined…slow peaceful mornings filled with chats, animals, stories and laughter.
God and His son Jesus Christ woven into every subject we learn…from Geometry to Science, Reading and History too. Cooking, gardening (did you see the progress of our 🫛 peas?!) ,reading, and 🫏 chores together (did you see the horse hiding in the dumpster?!😂) Intentional and deliberate. There is a lesson in everything and everywhere!
I get my kids and animals for the best hours of the day — it is quite honestly the best. And they are loving it too (thankfully!) 😘
Being with them, being by their side as they learn to do hard things is just incredibly rewarding and beautiful. Learning and growing together as a family is what it’s all about.😭Intentional and deliberate in all
I say this with all the love and encouragement from my heart but if you’ve ever wanted to try homeschooling: Go for it!!
I know it’s a privilege and also not for everyone (so to each their own) but I just felt the need to share my own experience thus far.🥰
Homeschooling is legal in every state. You are more supported than you think! All you have to do is write your district a letter of your intent to homeschool and send in their birth certificate, then it’s done!
In most every state, they can still play on the local high school sports teams too (which is what we are doing!! 🏈⚾️)
Colleges and universities, including some of the very best in the country, all welcome homeschoolers!! I have already starting prepping my boys for the ACT and SAT and that’s all they need along with their homeschool curriculum (we are doing The Good and the Beautiful and The Tuttle twins curriculum) to apply and be accepted into University.
Tom and I keep saying we have pinch me moments every morning with the joy and immense goodness and fulfillment that we feel getting to spend this time all together. I can’t say it enough but I AM SO GRATEFUL.❤️ It’s been the most remarkable and rewarding experience ever.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
