This is an original poem on my rope probably 20 years ago.
It's called The temporary life
Written by yours truly or CT Daniels (pen name)
The Temporary Life
Want for wanting, Greed is motivation
The materialistic senses of touch, sight, tastes, and sound
Spending our lives, work and then die
Trying to obtain the American dream
Profound to me for as I see in a hundred years gone you'll be
Your house your car for even your thoughts could belong to another soul
No time to run, You've had your fun, learning ,living, Loving, leaving done
Mad you say, for Mad I am not though I know you may think, that my words do swirl and a mad man's sink.
Mad I am not, my words are true
You're wealth will remain it opposites you.
It's just a reminder to remember that we have to work to live.
But we never have to live to work.
