We got a call today from a new customer about a possible squirrel that had gotten into their home. Upon arrival and speaking with the customer, the said bandit was gaining access from behind the chimney into the home. After doing some digging, we found that over time birds and squirrels had been storing nesting material behind the chimney. Because many levels of nesting material had essentially made a ladder and the stellar climbing capabilities of the squirrel. The squirrel had found an old hole that was cut into the home for an old furnace pipe that had been removed. The hole was never closed after the pipe was removed, leaving a big opening for the squirrel to come into the home. So, after waiting for the furry bandit to leave, the old nesting material was removed. the old hole was closed off so it would not be able to gain re-entry. No squirrels were harmed and the customer was very happy.
