As May, Mental Health Awareness Month, comes to a close, educating and supporting our members in mental well-being is a year round priority for us!

Delaware's chapter of NAMI has many locations throughout the State for physical support. Their website also provides many resources to carry the 2026 theme, "Turning Silence Into Connection" onto every jobsite!

Today DCA was able to attend Delaware State Chamber’s End-of-Session Policy Conference.

With 11 days left in the legislative session, hearing updates from policymakers is important.

This morning our building is packed!

The boardroom is full of member HR & safety personnel hearing presentations from the Alliance for Su***de Prevention, DOL and Turner Construction Company’s Safe T Coach program.

In our classroom we are holding the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Flatwork Finishing course. In 2016, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) added the certification requirement to its Standard Specifications.

Delaware has had record breaking temps these past two days. 🥵
Don't stop hydrating at 3:30 when you clock out! ⏰
Every body is different, but it takes 2 - 3 hours to fully rehydrate. 💦

We want to encourage our members to hydrate before, during and after work. Not everyone takes heat the same!

Each May DCA celebrates "Building Safety Month" to raise awareness about building safety.

This campaign reinforces the need for the adoption of modern, regularly-updated building codes, and helps individuals, families and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures.

The International Code Council, its members, and a diverse partnership of professionals from the building construction, design and safety communities come together with corporations, government agencies, professional associations and nonprofits to promote building safety through proclamations, informational events, legislative briefings and more.

We come together to support Building Safety Month because we understand the need for safe and sustainable structures where we live, work and play.
