Today, the United States marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

It is worth remembering that the nation was not only declared into existence; it was measured into one. Surveyors mapped the territory, established the boundaries, and built the framework, including the Public Land Survey System of 1785, that determined how the country would grow.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln all worked as surveyors before public life. The discipline they practiced is the same one NSPS members carry forward today.

As we celebrate America's 250th, we are proud to represent the professionals who continue to define the ground beneath it.

We're looking for full-time field personnel. If you're a seasoned crew-chief reach out. If you're interested in starting a career as a field technician in surveying reach out.

Crew-Chief Requirements are as follows:
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing surveys of varying types, most commonly boundary, topo, as-built and construction staking. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire team members. The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Operate in a solo environment with a network rover or base/rover as well as robotic total station.
Operate in a crew environment on larger traverse or construction projects.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
Ensure that all crew members are following company policies and procedures.
Monitor the performance of crew members and provide feedback as needed.
Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
Show up on time, ready to work, 5 days a week. The value of this cannot be understated.
