❄️ Winter Safety Reminder from Acorn Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc. ❄️
“Safety starts before you even pull out of the driveway.”
At Acorn Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc., we’re proud to serve our community year‑round — and winter is when we see just how much we all rely on each other. As temperatures drop and storms roll in, we want to remind everyone of a simple but critical step that keeps our roads safer:
Clean ALL snow and ice off your vehicle before driving.
Not just the windshield.
Not just the mirrors.
The roof, hood, trunk, lights, windows — everything.
🚗 Why It Matters
1. It’s the law in many states.
Drivers can be fined for failing to remove snow/ice that later becomes a road hazard.
2. Flying ice is dangerous.
At high speeds, a sheet of ice can become a projectile — smashing into windshields, causing panic stops, or leading to multi‑car accidents.
3. Snow on your roof reduces visibility.
As your vehicle warms up, that “harmless” loose snow can slide onto your windshield while you’re driving.
4. Ice buildup affects braking and steering.
Packed ice around wheels, sensors, headlights, and tail lights can reduce vehicle control and make it harder for other drivers to see you.
❄️ A Minute of Prevention Saves Lives
Before you hit the road, take 2–3 minutes to:
Brush off all windows
Clear the hood, roof, and trunk
Knock ice off headlights, taillights, and license plates
Ensure sensors and cameras are unobstructed
Let your car fully defrost so glass doesn’t fog up while driving
Acorn Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc. is committed to keeping your home comfortable — and helping keep our roads safe. Thank you for doing your part this winter. Let’s look out for one another.
Stay warm. Stay safe.
