Astley Plumbing & Heating, LLC is proud of our employee, Colton Bills, for passing his plumbing apprentice schooling. Four consecutive years of plumbing school and physically in the field learning the trade. Did you know, as an apprentice, you need 12,000 hours before you can take the test to be a Journeyperson? Our company congratulates Colton Bills for the hard work to get to the next step which is taking the actual test. We wish you the best success Colton Bills. We stand by your side.

100% Employee Owned! Seven doesn't seem like a big number, it is a start. Congratulations to the graduates. We need to continue to promote our trade industries. Given the state of economic distress we must stay optimistic.

General Contractor (GC) defined as "general contractors coordinate and execute the construction of larger home projects. This person, team or firm enters into the primary contract with a property owner, and bears the responsibility of overseeing the project."

GC's will subcontract to trade contractor's to complete a project. New construction or large projects may require builder, heating, plumbing, air conditioning, propane, electrical, solar, painters, sheetrock contractor etc. What ever the need a GC can line up the appropriate contractors. Do you always require a GC? Not necessarily.

Contractors stand by one another just like emergency responders, nurses, doctors etc. in industries struggling for workers, in an economy that has seen the supply chain impacted, prices for supplies skyrocket significantly and new construction out of price range for some people.

Construction is still happening at a slower pace. Will we hit another recession? With the cry for housing and the shortage we are experiencing lets hope we can persevere.

When the economy hit a recession in 2008, Astley Plumbing & Heating LLC became a one person, independent self-employed contractor. We had to let several good trade workers go. That is something one doesn't forget.

Fourteen years later we are pleased to announce we have hired Colton Bills as an apprentice. Colton will be a asset to APH, LLC. he will have the opportunity to learn from working hands on and continuing his education in this trade.

Did you know an apprentice in the plumbing trade has to have 3,400 hours of documented work history plus education to get to the next level in this trade. It is not an easy road but it can be rewarding.

Encourage the young generation to work in a trade. Trades are a life skill.

The .gov means it’s official. State government websites often end in .gov or .mil. Before sharing sensitive information, make sure you’re on a state government site.

After a long three year hiatus, from Facebook, it is time to refocus on balancing careers, family, friends, business relationships and new acquaintances. Astley Plumbing & Heating, LLC hasn't been idle. Developing important business relationships in trades that are struggling to hire folks hasn't been easy. It can be achieved.

It is important to encourage young adults to consider a trade. There are knowledgeable and experienced trades people in our communities. Those folks will be the ones to teach the younger generation about critical trades that are needed for the future.

Plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters install and repair piping fixtures and systems.
