Another tile project completed for the same customer β€” this time a full wet-room style bathroom.

This project was not a shower rebuild, but it still involved extensive tile work and full waterproof preparation throughout the room.

The bathroom included a tub area, with the walls finished in subway tile for a clean timeless look.

Around the window, the opening was carefully framed out using masonite trim to create a clean finished edge and maintain a sharp appearance around the tile work.

The floor was completed using white hexagonal mosaic tile, which tied the room together and gave the space a bright finished look.

Like the other bathrooms in this home, this room also received full Schluter system preparation:

- Schluter Ditra on the floor for uncoupling and long-term tile stability
- Schluter board on the walls for proper backing and moisture protection

Using the correct system underneath the tile is just as important as the finish itself, especially in wet-area environments.

Another project completed, and more tile work still planned for the future.

Another shower project completed for the same customer β€” a different bathroom, but a similar situation.

Like the previous shower, this one had been installed incorrectly and needed to be rebuilt properly using the correct system from the start.

The shower was fully redone using the Schluter waterproofing system, following proper installation methods to ensure long-term performance and reliability.

Once waterproofing was completed, the system was fully leak tested before tile installation began β€” and after passing inspection, this one also earned its Frank Certified status.

This shower included:

- Built-in bench
- Two niches
- Full waterproofed shower pan
- Installation in an irregular corner layout that required custom fitting throughout the build

Despite the challenging layout, everything came together cleanly and correctly.

In addition to the shower, the bathroom floor was also tiled to complete the project.

We’ll be returning in the future for additional tile work the customer already has planned, which is always appreciated.

Another custom shower project completed.

This project involved rebuilding a 4x4 shower that had been previously installed incorrectly and needed to be redone properly from the ground up.

As a Schluter-certified installer, and with my crew also trained in the system, we’ve had the opportunity to work directly with Schluter representatives, receive hands-on product training, and become certified in the correct installation methods. That matters because proper installation not only protects the performance of the shower, but also supports the warranty behind the system.

For this rebuild, the entire shower received a new Schluter waterproofing system, including a full shower pan installation and complete waterproof preparation.

Once waterproofing was complete, the shower was leak tested over the weekend to confirm full integrity before tile installation began.

A little tradition on our jobs: we use our Schluter duck during leak testing β€” I call him Frank β€” so any shower that passes gets unofficially labeled Frank Certified.

After passing leak test, tile work began:

- Penny tile on the shower pan
- Subway tile on the walls
- Two niches
- Built-in bench
- Privacy window integration

The bathroom floor was also finished with mosaic hexagon tile to complete the space.

Overall, a very satisfying transformation and a finished result we’re proud of.

Another structural safety project completed for a repeat customer.

This project involved removing an aging deck roof structure that had deteriorated to the point where it had become a serious concern.

The customer wanted it removed before winter returned, as the condition of the roof raised concerns about possible failure and the risk it could create for tenants below.

Safety was the first priority from the start. A dumpster was brought in for material removal, and the entire work area was fully taped off to create a protected zone so no debris could fall into occupied areas during demolition.

The roof was then removed carefully, section by section, to maintain full control of the structure throughout the tear-off process.

Once the failing roof was removed, the exposed wall was properly prepped and protected with building wrap to carry it safely through the winter season.

A temporary roof system was also built over the protruding section of the building to protect the structure until the full rebuild takes place.

This summer, we’ll be returning to remove the lower section and complete the full rebuild β€” so stay tuned for that project as it moves forward.

Always appreciate repeat customers and the trust they continue to place in our work.

A couple of projects completed for our local town school in Newport Center.

One of the first projects involved stabilizing a building that had developed a severe lean and had become unsafe.

All four structural posts were dug out, the old broken concrete was removed, and new concrete bases were poured for each post to properly reset and stabilize the structure.

Once the building was secured, a full interior wall system was built along the length of the space, including an integrated bench design that now provides both storage for children’s toys and seating for the kids, while also creating a clean area for future decorating and classroom use.

Another project took place during Christmas vacation β€” and it was done during one of the coldest weeks of the season.

The school wanted the front side of the building resided and also needed the original school bell removed, which had been mounted there for many years.

Over time, the weight of the bell had begun pulling the wall out of shape, allowing water intrusion that eventually caused rot inside the wall system.

Once opened up, the damaged plywood was replaced, framing repairs were completed where needed, and the wall was rebuilt properly before installing new siding.

Working conditions were difficult due to the extreme cold, but the goal was to complete it during the school break, and with some extra help from my brothers, we got it done.

Still more projects to come at this location, and grateful for the continued trust.

Another full exterior project completed.

This project involved a full window replacement throughout the home, along with removal of two failing deck structures that had reached the point where they were no longer safe to keep in place, with plans already in place for a future new deck build.

A total of 9 windows were replaced, with the work finishing right as winter weather and snowfall began moving in.

The customer wanted to preserve as much of the original siding as possible, so existing materials were carefully removed and reused where practical, with only damaged areas being replaced as needed.

Each window opening was properly refreshed using ZIP tape flashing, ensuring a weather-tight installation, and any underlying issues uncovered during the process β€” including missing framing and repairs needed around openings β€” were corrected before installation.

Once all windows were installed, each one was sealed and fully trimmed out for a clean finished appearance.

Because both decks had been removed, a temporary railing system was built to maintain safe entry access until the future deck project begins.

As a finishing touch, the existing front entry grate was also cleaned up and given a fresh coat of paint.

This project came with added difficulty due to limited working space around the house, which made positioning lift equipment challenging throughout the installation process, but the end result came together well.

Overall, a very solid project, great people to work with, and another happy customer.

Another project completed for a repeat customer.

This job focused on both lighting upgrades and interior layout improvements to make the home more functional and modern.

The customer wanted to update the existing lighting throughout the home by replacing it with wafer lights (recessed LED lights), and a total of 16 lights were installed.

Because the home had blown-in insulation above the ceiling, extra precautions were taken to keep the house clean during installation. Protective plastic was used throughout the work area to contain dust and insulation debris.

After installation, protective boxes were placed over each light before covering everything back up. This gives the customer a much cleaner future access point if adjustments, maintenance, or replacement are ever needed β€” without dealing with insulation falling into the living space.

In addition to the lighting work, the bedroom door was relocated from the side of the hallway to the wall at the end of the hall. This change created a more natural layout, improved hallway flow, and gave the bedroom more usable space.

The existing access panel was also moved to a better location for easier access and a cleaner finished appearance.

Always enjoy working for this repeat customer β€” great people to work with, and a family that is always a pleasure to be around.

Another major structural restoration completed.

This project began as what appeared to be a deck replacement, where the customer initially knew there was visible rot in the deck surface and signs of deterioration in some of the joist system.

Once demolition began and the structure was opened up, it became clear that the damage extended much further than originally visible.

The existing roof had little to no proper pitch, which allowed water and snow to sit over time instead of shedding properly. That prolonged moisture exposure led to extensive rot, water damage, weakened framing, and a broken rim joist.

As we continued into the wall additional structural issues were uncovered, including sections of rotted wall framing and plywood that also needed repair before rebuilding could begin.

At that point, the best long-term solution was a full tear-out and rebuild.

The structure was rebuilt properly, the new roof was redesigned with as much pitch as possible to improve drainage and allow snow and water to shed rather than sit and cause future damage.

Additional siding repairs were also completed where needed to tie everything back together cleanly.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the pictures of it done with the vinal fixed ill have to stop and get one and then add

One thing I believe strongly in is being honest in this field: during the project, there was an accident where a ladder got away and caused damage. It was addressed immediately, repaired properly, and made right at my expense β€” because standing behind your work also means taking responsibility when something unexpected happens.

That is part of doing business the right way.

Another large exterior restoration project completed.

This project began as a deck refinishing job, where the customer wanted to restore and preserve the existing structure rather than fully rebuild it.

Several deck boards that had begun to rot were replaced, and multiple railings were reinforced to improve overall safety and stability while keeping the original deck intact.

The restoration process started with a full pressure washing of the entire structure, followed by a four-stage sanding process, gradually working up to 220 grit to properly prepare the surface.

After sanding, the entire deck was treated with a cleaning solution to remove remaining mildew, and surface contaminants, followed by hand scrubbing to ensure the surface was fully ready for finish application.

Once properly prepared, a quality base seal coat was applied, followed by three finish coats for full protection and a durable final appearance.

This work included finishing:

- The full main deck and rails
- Two stair systems (one larger rear staircase and one smaller front staircase)
- All lattice work surrounding the deck

In addition to the deck restoration, two exterior doors were replaced due to rot.

The project also extended to both garage buildings, where all four garage doors were retrimmed using PVC trim board, providing a clean finish and eliminating future rot concerns.

We’ll also be returning to complete additional work, including another front door replacement, installation of a storm door, and additional exterior painting.

A very good customer to work with, and repeat customer and a project that involved a lot of detail from start to finish.
