Description and Responsibilities:

Perform various tasks as required for General Contractor specializing in industrial construction and renovation. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

Place and finish flat slabs, trowel concrete, and broom finish concrete.
Install rebar, dowels, anchor bolts etc.
Form and place grout
Concrete patching
Job requirements and qualifications:

Description and Responsibilities:

Perform various tasks as required for General Contractor specializing in industrial construction and renovation. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

Operate crane in a safe and efficient manner.

Assemble, disassemble, and transport cranes to various project sites.

Complete daily maintenance and inspections of cranes to guarantee safety and proper function.

Direct riggers, helpers, and operation of cranes and similar equipment.

Perform and direct the placement, removal, or re-positioning of machinery, structural members of buildings, heavy equipment, or other loads.

Estimate the size, weight, equipment capacity, and plans for clearance and safety factors.

Guide and direct apprentices and helpers in proper and safe rigging practices.

Job requirements and qualifications:

Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude

NCCCO Certified Crane Operator
3 years of experience
Valid Driver's License
Class A CDL preferred
Other heavy equipment operating experience preferred

Description and Responsibilities:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating motor vehicles and heavy equipment to the quality and safety standards established by Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc. Additionally, some manual and semi-skilled labor and other assignments may be required. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

Inspect equipment/machinery for safe day-to-day operation and for general maintenance needs.

Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment as directed by management and company policies and procedures.

Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, forklifts, excavators, and other heavy construction/maintenance equipment.

Perform excavating and grading.

Interact with construction general laborers and/or crew members who are facilitating alignment, movement, and adjustment of the equipment to complete the specifications for the construction project.

Adjust hand levers and depress pedals to operate equipment and control attachments.

Execute daily work instructions received from supervisor in a timely manner.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License.
CDL preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend construction plans.
Substantial experience operating heavy equipment.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
Significant knowledge in the safe practices of operating heavy equipment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor.
