🥶 Not sure if you've noticed but it is a bit chilly these days! This Sunday is going to be pretty cold with temps dropping below freezing! Here are a few tips to help keep your home winterized and keep your pipes from freezing:

•Pipes: Let hot and cold water drip slowly from faucets on exterior walls, open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air reach pipes, and insulate any exposed pipes with foam or towels.
•Heating: Keep your thermostat set to at least 65°F (15.5°C) to prevent freezing within walls, check/replace furnace filters, and ensure CO detectors are working.
•Drafts: Seal cracks with caulk or weather stripping around windows and doors, and consider window insulation film.
•Warm Air: Open interior doors and close coverings on south-facing windows while keeping others closed to circulate warm air.

Deas will remain available 24/7 for any emergency assistance needed on your home!

Deas Builder & Remodeler hopes you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We would like to share some safety tips for your home with Christmas just 3 weeks away! 🎅🎄⛄️

Christmas Tree Safety🎅: If using a real tree🎄, water it daily to prevent dry needles, which can catch fire easily. Keep the tree at least three feet away from heat sources like fireplaces and radiators. Discard any light strings that are worn or broken, and never overload electrical outlets.

Candle Safety🎅: If using candles, keep them at least three feet away from flammable materials. Consider using flameless candles to reduce fire risk. Never leave lit candles unattended.

Electrical Safety🎅: Use lights that are approved by recognized testing labs and ensure they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Inspect lights for frayed wires and broken sockets before use. Turn off all holiday lights when leaving the house or going to bed.

As a reminder, Deas Builder & Remodeler is available 24/7 for any emergency services you made need for your home.
