Hello community! We're still here, we're still booked solid with electrical jobs into October and we're still making bread for our customers. We did fall behind on baking, with hospital trips and family needs. So, if you've hired Stateline to work on your electrical project in the past 2 months, and have not received a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, PLEASE send us a message on fb or text us at 509-436-9661 and we'll get a loaf dropped off to your door. It's been a joy to do this for our customers and the feedback has been absolutely heartwarming. Remember, we work all the way through the winter so don't let the outside temps or snowfall keep you from completing your electrical projects as the season changes.

NEED: We have a job requiring about 250' of trenching for new electrical conduit/wire. If you're license and bonded and have a gap in your schedule, give us a call. We'd like to have this done Wed/Thur of this week or Tuesday/Wednesday of next week. Short notice, we know. Panhandle Private Locates already marked the ground today for the private underground lines, and there are a few place's we'll have to hand dig to cross u/g service, but other than that, it's the typical electrical trenching 2' deep and 12-18" wide. All of our normal choices are busy so we're hoping to find someone via social media. We're used to clean trenching from our local contractors, so please consider that when referring someone.

Our hearts are grieving today for the victims of the Spokane fires. We know the needs will come and we want to have this group back up and ready to jump in and help:

This was a group we created for the Oregon Rd (Elk) and Grey (Medical Lake) Fires. It's a place for victims to post their need and then helpers can respond directly to the victims post. No middle man. We've made life long friends from the 2023 fires and we know these terrible tragedies can birth something good when neighbors come together and shoulder this unbearable weight.

We will continue to offer free electrical labor to as many uninsured homeowners as possible. Help however you can. Pray for the thousands of displaced families, and at a minimum, be kind to each other today. It's nearly all we have left within our control.

Where has our social media and office team been for the past month? Unfortunately, in and out of the hospital and infusion centers with our adult daughter. She's had some severe pregnancy complications that have led to daily infusions, hourly medications, a week admitted to Deaconess, and multiple trips to the emergency room.

We appreciate your patience as we return calls and send pending estimates. When 2/3 of the office staff is in the hospital, a small business gets quiet on the communication end.

This month has been a challenge but we are grateful for the fantastic care from Newport Community Hospital, Newport Infusion center, All Heart Infusion Center and Deaconess hospital in Spokane. We are also thankful to our customers and neighbors who have reached out in support. On Sunday, we had to call 911 when she had a serious reaction to a medication resulting in stroke like symptoms with extreme pain & upper body paralysis; we were helpless on our own. The Kalispel tribe medics arrived first, followed by South Pend Oreille Fire & Rescue and POC Fire and Rescue. Everyone was kind and prompt getting her transported to the ER for treatment.

As always, be good to eachother. At the end of the day, how we treat eachother is really the only thing we can control.

UPDATE: JOYCO DRILLING INC is taking care of this repair on Wednesday of this week! Thank you Cheryl for partnering with Stateline to fulfill this need! What a great community we're apart of!!!!!!

Elderly Vetran in Usk, needs some help. He has been without water for 4 months. Is leaving to shower at family's homes and is hauling in water every day for him and his dogs.

We just learned of his situation recently and went to diagnose the problem.
-Failed underground direct bury circuit between the exterior panel & the disconnect at the well head.

All material is on site.
Trench is open.
Estimated project: Half a day.

Task: Install new 200' run of conduit.
Tie in conduit & wire at exterior panel & well disconnect.
Small amount of hand digging at the panel end. Soil is soft.

We have been trying to get to him this past week and have not been able to move jobs around to get out there. Looking for someone who has a half a day and can go get him taken care of. Otherwise we will do it in the next 2 weeks.

He does not have the budget to pay for this job. He has purchased all the material and opened the 200' trench for the new conduit run.

It really has become a joy to bring fresh bread to our customers. 😊 And just so everyone knows, Leo's Excavating LLC dug us the cleanest 180' trench we have ever seen. That's saying a lot after 30 years in the electrical trades!

When we can catch our breath, we'll do some posts about all the many reasons NOT to direct bury your service wires. In the mean time, we've been staying busy this month doing things right, trenching, laying conduit and pulling wire, to make sure the customers financial investment pays off for the long run. If we made a social media post, for every emergency service repair from a failed or damaged direct buried underground line, our page would be on repeat many days.

Shout out to Leo's Excavating for once again, working us into their schedule for the 170' of trenching. Our customer is grateful for the coordination between Stateline, Leo's and POPUD. Thanks also to linemen like Jimmy (among the other fantastic linemen), who are quick to respond and remain personable and helpful when a customer is in a crisis. Being elderly and being on oxygen full time, means power is an essential need. We're honored this customer trusts us, to coordinate and oversee the solution.

It's Sunday evening. There's 2 brains behind Stateline Electric:

One of them is in the kitchen working on a fresh loaf of sourdough bread for tomorrow's service change.
The other one is heading to Metaline Falls for another emergency service call for an elderly customer with a failed leg of power.

One of these roles is not like the other.
Both are vital to the heart of Stateline Electric.

Edit: Stateline is heading north to take care of it.

Is anyone available in the Ione or Metaline Falls area today for an emergency service call? This will be a volunteer job. An elderly, disabled man on oxygen had a GFI fail. He has switched to a generator for his oxygen tank but it's limited on the time it can run. He has suffered a major heart attack, a stroke and needs some help. He lives in a 5th wheel & has no family and no close neighbors. If we can't find an electrician nearby, we will head up as soon as we can pull off the last job site in Newport, but it's over an hour north, so wanted to see if anyone else was closer and willing to help us out. Already reached out to Wes up north, and he's unavailable today.

***Update: Need met, Thank you Bill, with Northern Lights Electric! We appreciate that you answered our call, and went out of your way to meet this need. It's VERY hard for us when we can not get to a customer and it's a wonderful thing to have other local electricians who will go above and beyond to meet needs. ***

ELECTRICIAN NEEDED TODAY or tomorrow for a local service call-
We have a customer we can not get to, who has no hot water and needs an electrician to come troubleshoot the issue. Sounds like it's possibly a failed breaker. If so, he will need a new 30A
2-pole Eaton breaker.
Are there any local electricians who are licensed in WA who can help meet this need?

What are you doing tomorrow between 3:30pm and 7pm???? Come hang out with us and some fantastic local businesses in downtown Newport, at the Pend Oreille Realty's GRAND OPENING! Ribbon cutting is at 5pm and we hope to see you there.

Also, they will be raffling off certificates from Stateline Electric for a service call with NO service call fee. The certificate needs to be redeemed within 30 days but you can schedule the service call date for whenever it's most convenient for you, beyond the 30 days.
