Honored to share this All Souls Interfaith Altar, handcrafted from walnut and maple.
Designed in close collaboration with the pastor and generous donors, this piece was built to serve both function and spirit. It features two large dovetail drawers for pastoral use, along with a dedicated walnut dovetail drawer for the congregation to store matchboxes for candle lighting. At its center, a custom wooden inlay carries the All Souls logo, grounding the piece in identity and purpose.
Expandable wings allow the altar to grow from 4’6” to 8’6”, adapting to the needs of the community it serves.
It’s always meaningful to create something intended to last for generations, built with care, intention, and respect for the space it will live in.

A Pathway For Light, In A Custom Home.
This cupola, trimmed in clean horizontal nickel gap, and warm douglas fir, draws natural light down into the heart of the home through the windows above. What was once just a roofline detail becomes a channel that fills the space below with warmth throughout the day.

At the center hangs a red glass pendant created by my father, glass artist Sidney Hutter ( ) a piece that glows even brighter when the sunlight hits it. He has more of these pendants available as well.

I had a ton of fun working on this one of a kind kitchen island. Super cool to see something that I made end up on a TV show! Go check it out on HBO Max now! This White Oak Kitchen Island features a built-in book nook for cookbooks and has a 5 foot round white oak counter, great for cooking prep! (Watch on HBO Max, Ugliest House in America, S7E6)

Standing over 7 feet tall, this Torah Ark was crafted for the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue to hold four Torahs during their High Holiday services. The piece is painted white, with carved metallic gold letters across the top face, and includes a custom-built Ner Tamid to shine above it.
Building Torah Arks is always more than just woodworking—it’s a spiritual honor. I’m grateful to play a part in shaping the sacred spaces where communities gather, pray, and celebrate together.

White Oak Ring Box - I made this ring box from white oak to propose to my now-fiancé.
Chamfered the edges, added brass barrel hinges to match the gold band, and lined it with a black cushion for contrast. Finished with mineral oil and beeswax.

Honored to create this custom cherry urn for a returning client. We worked together to design a meaningful carving for the top, ultimately choosing a Star of David, their grandmother’s name, her years of life, and the inscription ‘Of Blessed Memory.’ Crafted with care, this piece features brass hinges and a precisely sized interior to hold the ashes in their sealed container—a lasting tribute to a cherished life.

The Sasser Bookshelf, I recently finished and delivered this beautiful maple and mahogany bookshelf as a commission piece. I really love doing commissioned pieces because I get to work with the client to design exactly what they are looking for. I came into this job with both me and the client not sure of what they wanted and after discussing with them the types of wood I work with, as well as several design styles we landed on this ‘Shaker-style’ bookshelf.
I designed the bookshelf to have two lower cabinets with shaker style doors and an adjustable shelf on each side allowing for larger and smaller books to be presented.
The bookshelf is 55” Wide 43” Tall and 12” Deep with a 57” by 14” Top. Finished with Tung Oil.
