Hi everyone Brent Huffman Huffman Heating & Air Conditioning with this up and coming Heatwave that we're going to have just a reminder if you have a load control on your outside unit most likely Duke Energy will be cutting that off, most of the time they'll cut it off 10 to 15 minutes with the temperatures above 100 in 10 to 15 minutes it can raise your temperature in your house by about 15° that also depends on how good your insulated overhead it could raise it even more, if you're not insulated properly. So just remember that it takes twice as long for your system to catch backup, also remember just set your thermostat where you're comfortable and leave it, my motto is set it and forget it, as a rule an air conditioner should drop the temperature 20° from the outside temperature they will run a lot to maintain. in some cases they may fall behind a little bit but that's normal if you have shade this could help the situation If temperatures are real high. Make sure your filters are clean and as always don't blow grass up on your outside condenser this will make the unit work harder keep your blinds pulled to block the Sun from coming in.
