Solid Rock Baptist Church in Berlin, New Jersey, is putting its rooftop to work with solar!
Exact Solar designed and installed a 248.6 kW system with 452 solar panels across the church’s Camden County campus, which also serves a K–12 school, gymnasium, and community programs.

The church chose to own its system as a long-term investment in the property, with projected savings of $2.2 million over 30 years based on the project’s financial analysis. Our in-house team handled the engineering, design, permitting, utility coordination, installation, and commissioning while working around an active church and school schedule.

If you’re a PECO customer with a home battery, your system may now be able to do more than provide backup power.

PECO’s Flex & Save program rewards eligible residential customers for allowing their batteries to support the grid during periods of high electricity demand. PECO advertises average annual rewards of about $480, though actual payments depend on your battery’s performance and program requirements.

Conestoga High School is now generating solar energy from its new athletic field house in Berwyn!
Exact Solar recently completed a 59.74 kW solar installation for the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District through Pennsylvania’s COSTARS cooperative purchasing program. The 103-panel system is projected to generate about 80,080 kWh in its first year, equivalent to roughly 73% of the field house’s modeled annual electricity use!

The project is a great example of how Pennsylvania schools and other eligible public organizations can use COSTARS to simplify the purchasing process while still carefully evaluating system design, cost, production, construction requirements, and long-term support.

🌞 ASES National Solar Tour Spotlight! 🌞

Take a tour of Curtis Sawyer’s residential solar installation in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, completed by Exact Solar. This 21.36 kW DC system includes Jinko solar panels paired with SolarEdge inverter technology, helping the home generate clean electricity right from the roof.

The Philadelphia School is now generating solar energy right from its Center City campus!

Exact Solar recently completed a 43.38 kW rooftop solar installation across the school’s main building and garage. The 78-panel system is expected to generate approximately 46,000 kWh of electricity each year, offsetting about 31% of the school’s annual electricity use.

The system was donated by Exact Solar's President Doug Edwards, with our in-house team handling the design, installation, and PECO approval process. Beyond reducing the amount of electricity the school needs to purchase from the grid, the installation gives students a real-world example of renewable energy at work right on their own campus.

We’re excited to see this project supporting The Philadelphia School for years to come.

The 2026 ASES National Solar Tour is happening this weekend!

From October 2-4, the ASES National Solar Tour gives homeowners the chance to see solar in action, meet people who already live with it, and get answers to the questions that can be hard to answer online.

If you’re near Doylestown, Exact Solar customer Curtis Sawyer is opening his home for an in-person solar tour this Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. His fully electrified home features a 21.36 kW solar energy system and two electric vehicles, making it a great opportunity to see how solar can support a home with higher electricity needs.

Jen Ragen’s solar story started with a mix of energy efficiency, environmental values, and electric vehicles.

After moving from a row home into a single-family home in Philadelphia with a pool, central air, and higher electric bills, Jen and her husband began looking for ways to reduce their household energy use. When they bought their first electric vehicle in 2014, solar became the next logical step.

Ten years later, Jen’s rooftop solar system has generated more than 100 megawatt-hours of electricity and has helped power a home with two electric vehicles, a pool, and work-from-home energy use.
