Last night we did battle with a ~3,800 lb log! This log from a Chinquapin Oak is one of 2 pieces that we’ve got in stock. It’s 36” in diameter and 8.75’ in length. Chinquapin oak is roughly 438lbs per linear foot when wet. The trailer took a beating loading it and unloading it, may be time for an upgrade!

Two more sections of a large Cherry tree are very slowly on the way to becoming furniture. This tree had a fair amount of rot in the center of the trunk but there’s still enough good meat to make it worth milling.

Side note, this picture really makes my bald spot look worse than it is. I’ve got a totally full and lush head of hair. I promise.

Hello internet people! It’s been a while. After a bunch of overtime, classes for work, and a week of vacation I’m firing up the mill again. This is some beautiful cherry. The customer is getting this log milled up so they can make a countertop out of wood that came from their horse farm.

This person had two trees down and a third that was dead. If you have standing trees that need to be removed or trees on the ground that aren’t rotten let me know! I’ll take it down and saw it up for you.
