Copperhead bites have arrived earlier than usual in Virginia this year, and residents who get bit are urged to seek medical attention immediately. But for goodness sake, don't try to catch the snake or take it to the E.R. (Take a pic!)

10-Eleven Nuisance Wildlife Control is proud to sponsor your GMBL 8U Champions—the Crimson Tide! 🏆🐘🥎

These girls flat got it done.

From opening day to championship day, they played with grit, heart, and a little bit of that Alabama magic.

A little Dixieland Delight, a championship trophy, and a whole lot of smiles.

Congratulations players, coaches, and families!

❤️ Roll Tide!

That’s a lot of nesting! 🏠🐦‍⬛

A quick photo from a recent starling eviction and exclusion project — this amount of nesting material was removed from just 4 vents on the home.

Starlings nesting inside vents can create several issues for homeowners, including:
• Dryer and bathroom vents not functioning properly
• Increased fire risk, especially in dryer vents
• Strong odors from nesting material, droppings, and deceased birds
• Bird mites and other parasites entering the home
• Moisture and airflow problems

This is one of the reasons it’s important to address vent nesting issues early before the problem grows larger.

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a reminder of the sacrifice, courage, and selflessness of those who never made it home. Their legacy lives on through the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Take a moment today to reflect, honor, and remember. 🇺🇸

Dead animal removal is about more than just the odor.

Animal carcasses can quickly become a biohazard concern, attracting insects, scavengers, bacteria, and creating strong decomposition odors — especially as temperatures rise. The longer they remain, the worse the issue typically becomes.

Whether it’s a deer, raccoon, opossum, or other wildlife, prompt removal helps reduce health concerns and prevents the problem from escalating further.

Sometimes the best solution is simply getting it taken care of quickly and properly.

🦌 It’s that time of year again — “fawn-napping” season.

Every spring, we receive calls from well-meaning people who believe a baby deer has been abandoned because it’s lying alone in a yard or near a home. In most cases, the fawn is exactly where it’s supposed to be.

Mother deer will often leave their fawns hidden for long periods while they feed nearby. The fawn’s natural instinct is to stay still, quiet, and hidden to avoid predators.

If the fawn appears healthy, calm, and uninjured, the best thing you can do is leave it alone and keep pets and people away from the area. Mom is usually close by and will return.

Not every baby animal needs to be “rescued” — sometimes the best help is simply giving wildlife space to do what nature intended.

🚨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STAR ALERT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🚨

Years ago, when Patrick was a young law enforcement officer, he always tried to treat people the way he would want his own grandma treated ❤️

That mindset clearly carried over into the way he runs the Northern Virginia office today. 🦝🐍🏠

When an 84 year old grandmother was terrified by a huge black snake in her hallway after 9 PM… Patrick was there in under 30 minutes to make sure Grandma was safe and secure. 💪🐍

We are beyond grateful for customers like this and for the opportunity to serve our community every single day. 🙏🇺🇸

From bats to beavers… and even emergency snake calls late at night…
10-Eleven is here when you need us. 🚨🪤

People are often surprised to learn that the majority of what we do happens on a ladder. 🪜🦝

A large portion of wildlife issues are elevated problems — starlings in vents, squirrels and bats along rooflines, raccoons entering soffits, rodents accessing attic spaces, and more. Most of the problem areas we address are well above ground level.

That’s why proper equipment, ladder safety, roof work experience, and attention to detail are such a big part of professional wildlife control. A lot of the real work happens overhead. 🐦‍⬛
