How to Save Money
Sparky’s Electric offers a wide variety of energy solutions from whole house fans to Occupancy Sensors. Here are some things you can do to reduce your electric bill in your home/office/warehouse…. DID YOU KNOW……….. By retrofitting your office (T-Bar Fixtures) or home (kitchen/garage strip lights) from T-12′s to T-8′s you will use at least 50% less engery. If you are in an office, your lights run roughly 8 – 12 hours a day and maybe more, that could be a potential HUGE savings. If you are like most people who have gatherings, everyone gathers in your kitchen, and these lights are on for long periods of time. The savings of roughly 50% sounds nice. Whole house fans, Attic fans, and Ceiling fans. Ceiling fans can keep your house/office cooler in the summer. Whole house fans are like a HUGE exhaust fan in your home or warehouse that sucks the hot air out while pulling in the cooler air. Attic fans help remove the hot air that is stored in the attic area. Each one of these is a BIG help in the Hot Summer Sun. Did you know by changing old incandescent bulbs to fluorescent bulbs you could save and average of 2/3 the power while getting better lighting? With the rate Technology changes ….. It no wonder that there is an even better product out there than the Fluorscent Lighting. Technology has produced LED Lighting. Fluorescent or incandescent recessed lighting can be changed to LED recessed lighting. This change will result in a massive energy usage savings. They use about 1/2 of the power of fluorescent light, and about 1/6 of the power of incandescent light. Do you have kids that always leave lights on? Try an Occupancy Sensor in their bedrooms, bathrooms, playrooms. When they enter the room, the light comes on, after a few minutes of them leaving, it turns off. This is not only for kids…these are very useful all over houses, warehouses, offices, etc. Anywhere lights will need to be turned on and off. You may not see HUGE savings on each electric bill, but you will see SOME savings. If you are like the average american these days, every dollar counts. Why not give us a call and discuss which item(s) will benifit you the most. The price of any of these items will be made back in a short amount of time in energy savings. THERE IS NO JOB TOO LARGE OR SMALL. WE DO ALL COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL AND RESIDENTIAL. FROM CHANGING A SINGLE OUTLET (in your warehouse, office, factory, or home) to BUILDING CUSTOM WAREHOUSES, OFFICE and HOMES, WE DO IT ALL……….

After about the 24th lap through the Lowe’s Christmas department, my little boy turned to me asking, “Mama, will you hold me?” Tired myself, I said, “No buddy, you can walk,” as I ushered him on down the aisle in search of ornament hooks.

He didn’t say anything, but I glimpsed the disappointment in his eyes and the way his shoulders slumped slightly as he turned from me and started walking.

And that’s when I stopped him.

“Come here, sweetie…I’ll hold you.” I picked him up and carried him down the aisle.

He’s a lot to carry these days as his long legs dangle down my sides.

In fact, he’s plenty old enough to not need carrying.

But here’s the thing as I look back over the last few years. I don’t regret a single time I rocked my children no matter how many people cautioned me not to start that habit.

I don’t regret a single time I walked through the house holding and swaying with my baby girl who wouldn’t sleep.

I don’t regret a single time I laid on the floor beside a crib, my arm half falling asleep as I pushed it through the crib bars patting little backs and soothing fears.

I don’t regret any of this. In fact, I’m glad for all of the time spent in those precious moments because I see so much more clearly now. I see the time passes so quickly.

My kiddos are still young, but I no longer have babies or even toddlers. My oldest barely fits in my lap and mostly just snuggles up beside me now. My youngest still fits, and you better believe I let him sit there every chance I get.

Yes, he’s getting big to be carried around a store, and there’s no way I could carry him the whole time. But when I hear, “Mama, will you hold me?” I think long and hard before I say "no", and even if it’s for just a few minutes, I almost always pick him up. Because I know I’ll never regret the time spent holding him.

Before I know it another week has passed and then another month and then another year. And while there are still requests to “hold me” the fact is they are fewer than the requests I received last year and fewer still from the year before that.

And it's just the way of things that one day in the not so distant future, he’ll truly be too big for me to carry him...nor will he want me to.

So until that time comes, when he asks, my answer will be, “yes.” ❤️

An Airbus 380 is cruising on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 37,000 feet, when suddenly a fighter jet
appears as the passenger jet draws near the coast of Britain.
The pilot of the fighter jet slows down and flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio:
"Airbus flight, boring flight isn’t it? Take a look at this!
”He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, only to dive down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive.
He loops back next to the Airbus and asks, "Well, how was that?"
The Airbus captain answers: "Very impressive, but now have a look here!"
The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly stubbornly straight, with the same speed.
After five minutes, the Airbus captain radioed,
"Well, what are you saying now?"
The fighter pilot asks in confused voice:
"What did you do?" The captain laughs and says,
"I got up, stretched my legs, went to the back of the aircraft and used the bathroom, then got a cup of brewed coffee and a cinnamon cake. I then made a booking for the next three nights - in a 5 Star hotel, which is paid for by my airline."
The moral of the story is:
When you are young, speed and adrenaline seems to be great.
But as you get older and wiser, comfort and peace are not a bad option either.
This is called S.O.S.: Slower, Older, Smarter
