After a fire damaged the client’s home, this sculptural wood table base was one of the few furnishings that remained. The original tabletop could not be salvaged, but preserving the base mattered deeply to the client.

Hâpax designed and fabricated a new round concrete top around the surviving woodwork, resolving its proportions, support, weight, edge comfort, delivery, and final placement.

The 43rd Street sunroom in Virginia Beach brought together black-framed windows, warm wood doors, and an existing concrete slab that still needed its final direction.

Hâpax ground and refined the slab, introduced Chocolate Brown Dye, applied densifier, and completed the floor with a matte 200-grit finish and SR2 stain protector. The color adds warmth while the matte surface sits comfortably within the room’s abundant daylight.

The Neat Bird counter was never going to be a standard slab-and-cabinet project. Its length, curved end, equipment openings, and saturated green finish all had to work together.

Hâpax developed the color and fabricated the concrete surface around the actual room and service requirements. The finished counter now gives the space both a durable work surface and a clear visual identity.

At Lolly’s Great Bridge, the existing slab ran through a long, narrow retail interior. Our job was to turn that construction surface into a durable floor that felt intentional throughout the finished space.

The polished concrete now carries light through the room, connects the main floor with the smaller circulation areas, and retains the honest variation of the original slab.
