This past weekend we began our renovation and maintenance of the community garden. We took down 6 raised beds that age and weather got to we had to take them so they would no longer be a hazard . Don't worry we are NOT eliminating the garden we just did some much need maintenance. The beds we took down will be replaced with new beds. The fence will be replaced. We unfortunately had to take down our peach tree because it had died this year. We thank those who came out and helped with special thanks to ann bolen. We appreciate all the help we got Saturday.

Thank you,

Hello everyone,
We appologize for our absence on this page.

We would like to inform you of some happenings for the garden.

We appologize but there will be no events occurring this year in the garden. Also the garden will be under renovation for the remainder of the year to do some much needed maintenance and beautification. We do plan on opening the garden in the spring. We want to thank you all you support and encouragement. We can't wait to begin working renovating the garden and seeing you all in the spring.

Hello everyone,

First of all we would like to thank you all for your amazing interest in our garden the response since we took charge has been unbelievable. Thank you!

However, we must make our priorty the health and wellbeing of our community. So in light of the guidelines laid down by the CDC and our state government we feel it would be irresponsible to continue with the April 4th cleaning and planting in the garden. So we have decided to postpone the April 4th event of cleaning and planting. Also we have decided to cancel the reading of Beatrice Potter's Peter Rabbit in the garden. We don't make this decision lightly but as stated we must put the hhealth and wellbeing of our community first and foremost. We will post a new date when we are able to confirm it with Bon Secors and Operation Blessing.

Thank you for your understanding,

Robert C. Owens, chairman

Louise Owens, co-chairman and event planning.
