Safety on the jobsite is not just about physical hazards. It is also about looking out for the people around us.

At the Trade Partner Appreciation Lunch for the Sarpy County 911 Center project, BCI Safety Director BJ Wilkinson led a discussion on mental health and the importance of making it part of the conversation in construction.

Construction can be demanding, both physically and mentally. Taking the time to check in with your coworkers, have a conversation, or simply ask how someone is doing can make a difference.

Looking out for our team means making sure everyone gets home safe, both physically and mentally.

Help us celebrate Judy Funk on 5 years with Beckenhauer Construction!

Judy brings 25 years of experience in the construction industry to our team and plays an important role in our processes. As our Scheduling Manager, she works closely with Preconstruction and Project Teams to develop and update CPM schedules, providing an additional layer of schedule management that helps keep projects on track.

We’re lucky to have Judy’s experience, knowledge, and dedication on our team. Thanks for all you do, Judy, and congratulations on 5 years with BCI!

The Codington County Jail & Law Enforcement Center reached an important milestone with the placement of the final piece of structural steel. BCI celebrated the occasion with a Topping Out ceremony alongside Codington County representatives, the design team, local community members, and members of our project team. Vice President of Operations Bill Barritt, while talking with KXLG, explained the symbolism of the Topping Out ceremony, “The flag represents patriotism and pride while the tree represents good luck moving forward.”

Our legacy is built on more than just the work we do. It’s built on the people who have been part of BCI over the years, the partnerships we’ve formed, and the communities we’re proud to call home.

Beckenhauer Construction's Beyond Grant is proud to support our communities where we live, work, & play.

The Pierce County 4-H Club is working to expand its archery program by adding outdoor archery targets, giving them the opportunity to reach more youth and provide additional opportunities for kids to learn, participate, and grow.

We were happy to contribute through the BCI Beyond Grant to help make this possible! We’re proud to support programs that create opportunities for young people and strengthen the communities we’re fortunate to call home.

We recently joined Our Savior Lutheran - Norfolk, NE in Norfolk for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of their renovation project.

The approximately 22,000 SF project transformed previously unfinished space into new youth rooms, event spaces, adult Bible study rooms, restrooms, a serving kitchen, coffee bar, and stage.

Student volunteers helped move furniture into the new spaces ahead of the celebration, getting everything ready for the congregation to gather and see the completed project. Pastor Lee cut the ribbon to officially mark the occasion and thanked the congregation, volunteers, and project team for the work and dedication that made the project possible.

We’re proud to have worked alongside the Our Savior Lutheran Church leadership, Davis Design, and trade partners to bring these new spaces to life, and we’re excited for the ways they will support worship, connection, and community for years to come.
