EVTown is an effort of the Bloomington-Normal Electric Vehicle Task Force, consisting of leaders from various local governments, businesses and educational institutions. Behind the leadership of Normal Mayor Chris Koos, Bloomington-Normal has made great strides in achieving its goal of being the model community in the United States for electric vehicle deployment. EVTown aims to provide members of

the community with information needed to evaluate available electric vehicle technologies, and connect interested persons with opportunities to personally view, test drive and purchase electric vehicles. EVTown was launched by announcing a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Motors, manufacturer of the all-electric i-MiEV.
