🔹We love doing the hard things and this one had all of them. This project incorporated not just one but two super custom designs. It’s hard to fully appreciate it with just pictures but here they are.
🔹For the front we did 60’ of “Lap with Cap”. 1x8x8 high quality Cedar lapped over the next by 1”. Top is a perfect horizontal plane that steps down. It’s mostly 8’ tall but tapers up the driveway which required us to cut every single board, adding 3/8” as we went down the drive. Creating a perfect fall with the grade.
🔹In the back we did 100’ of “Skinny Board on Board with Cap”. 1x4x8 high quality Cedar with a 1” space between. 8’ tall with a step down. This version of Board on Board leans more towards a modern yet timeless look that goes perfectly with the Mid Century Modern architecture of this beautiful home and property in Nichols Hills.
🔹Extreme precision and meditation was required to pull this one off. We’ll return to add a few more details once some landscaping is done. We also have some unique stain planned for both fences.
