Heartfelt thanks to all my friends, family, and clients that reached out today under the impression we were closing up shop, means the world!
On the contrary, we've grown! Jobs began transitioning to larger residential, smaller - medium commercial last year, I found myself renting or needing larger equipment, and realized a lot of current equipment is barely being used! I dummed into a great deal on Dozer, truck and trailer through a godsend Wendy, WLH trucking (call her for all your trucking needs, she's amazing). I then started the initial process of specing new skid steer, but it became apparent within a few phone calls supply is non-existent, I priced the 4 big brands we have here, but Chance @ Warren cat was head, neck, torso above anyone else, Warren cat has new life long customer!
Recently a phone conversation with an amazing guy helped me realize the type/size of machines that would benefit me, and speaking from first hand experience made me realize bigger (more "stuff", machines, job types) isn't always better, in fact I believe it's much worse in today's climate of fuel cost, machine cost and availability! A 90 minute conversation made me realize I'm only 1 person, and if stars align I'm able to be in a machine working 14-15 days a month, max. I can own 10 machines, all the cool stuff, but end of the day it all costs soooooo much money, and I can't be in all of them!!! People see a nice diesel truck, and piece of equipment and think I'm pooping out gold turds, the reality is I've reinvested almost every dime into machines, attachments, maintenance items, spent so much more money and day 365, fiscally I'm right where I started, so time to shed a bunch of extra weight, concentrate on what I can do well, and keep pushing in 2022!!
Biggest thanks goes out to my dime piece wife who not only beautiful, puts up with me, but can drive across the city, hop in a piece of equipment to move it, will come to my jobsite and spend all of "her time" in a machine, helping make a dent! I'm beyond blessed!
Also huge thanks to all my supportive friends, family, and customers... Without you all I'd never be able to do this!
