Channel 4 News called me yesterday and said they wanted to come by the office and do an interview about the problems getting roofing materials. Said they would be here about 2:30. Reminded me of George Jones and his song ‘No Show Jones’. After seeing their story last night I figured out why they didn’t come. I had told them that we were having little, if any, problems getting shingles. Our problem was them getting stolen once they are delivered. So I was blowing a hole in their story. I told them that we had had the same supplier (Willard's Wholesale Roofing) for 40 years and they said they would see to it that we got whatever we needed. Loyalty. We want to thank everyone who is waiting on us for their patience and loyalty. We are going to have to do some of the roofs we have already done again. Two that we finished Friday were hailed out again Sunday night. Welcome to Oklahoma.

The flooding going on in OKC and Edmond, as Tennessee Ernie Ford would say, is making me as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rockin chairs. We have thousands of people here in Norman with holes in their roofs from the hail. We have tarped many of them. The strong winds with the gust front are trying to blow the tarps off. We don’t need heavy rains. We need many days in a row with lots of sunshine so we can get some new roofs on. Once again...Please Be Patient. Thank you. 99% of the people of Norman are wonderful. We are so grateful for that. Patience. Patience.

Most insurance adjustors are more than fair. We normally do not need to see your insurance papers. We are normally charging less than what they are willing to pay. Sometimes that will help the homeowner with their deductible. Deductibles have gotten a lot bigger in recent years. We don’t need to meet the adjustor when he comes to access the damages. The last thing he or she wants is a roofer telling them how to do their job. It is much better to let them do their job and then, if we don’t agree with them, we need to find out where the differences lie. 405 360-4772 if you need an estimate or yard sign.
