First snow fall of the season has me reflecting on some of the projects we enjoyed throughout the warmer months. Below is a newly built home for a repeat client. They tore down two tired cottages and replaced them with their forever home. Empty nests can be bittersweet but this helps to ease the blow. Many more years of family and friends celebrating life’s pleasures just steps from the ocean. Cheers!

Plunge pools! Gaining lots of popularity in recent years. This project evolved over a series of months during meetings discussing all of the desires for a new outdoor living space. After editing out some vegetation, we set the pool as both a focal point and a great feature for passive recreation. A new shed for both garden and pool equipment. A reimagined 3 season room gave way to an open air porch providing great access from the house to the pool and outdoor kitchen area. Fencing for pets, for safety, and an outdoor shower all blends seamlessly with the new planting and lawn areas. Hold on as we wrap up the front and share an equally dramatic improvement there!

We forget how angry the ocean can be but there are days like these that serve as a reminder. These folks had a “little” water in their basement when we met in the late spring. Not sure this permeable pavement is the end all solution but a year later it has served them well. Try not to gasp!

Just a quick update for a school in Portsmouth, Demo of the existing condition as the littles move on to make room for some big kids getting back on their feet. Good Luck, enjoy this space as you find your way forward.

It’s been a little while since posting any photos of our project’s. Too many to count! Here’s a few that have been keeping our full attention. Started in the winter with Caledonian granite steps, modest bluestone patios and walkways due to wetland setbacks. Finished up with some grading, planting and lawn installation. Little piece of paradise tucked away in Portsmouth, NH

If you’re concerned about the environment, consider one of our permeable pavers. Our Aqua-Bric, Andover Collection, Andover 5511, Portsmouth Cobble, and Brookstone pavers allow water, even heavy rainfall and snowmelt, to drain through openings in the surface. As it passes through an open-graded stone base, contaminants are naturally filtered out from the water before it infiltrates into the soil below.
