When buying a home you should check the sale history to see if it might be a flip house. This week we received a call to price out a boiler replacement. 10 minutes into the house and we had the boiler started and it continues to operate properly. In the process of inspecting the heating system the homeowner stated they had 3 zones of heat. This was not the case at the boiler so we checked the thermostats. First floor was working as it should for both heat and a/c. Third floor was air conditioning only, no control of the heat as the homeowners were told and the second floor? Turns out it was just for display! The homeowner just laughed realizing they had been adjusting it for the past year in a half for no reason. Maybe a home inspection could have found this but likely not. Home flippers, some not all, will cut corners to in an effort to increase the sale price.

Yesterday we installed an outdoor shower for a beautiful home. There will be a white vinyl enclosure and patio stones with a drain in the next few days. For this project we used VIEGA stainless steel propress so the pipes match the chrome valve. Stainless pipe support’s will be installed once we receive them as they were special order.

We swapped out an old electric company stone lined electric water heater for a LG 58 gallon heat pump water heater with a mixing valve to keep the water a consistent temperature that is safe for families. This family took advantage of the $900 rebate. A nice saving seeing last year the rebate was $750.

"Dear Sirs:
I recently contacted Rousseau Plumbing as a first-time customer for routine service on my Rinnai natural gas space heater, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding help I received from Nick.

Nick quickly diagnosed a persistent issue that only appeared during extreme cold weather. The thermostat sensor, located at the rear of the heater cabinet against an exterior wall, was registering temperatures about 4°F lower than the actual room temperature due to the cold wall. As a result, the heater could never satisfy the thermostat and ran continuously. Nick resolved the problem by relocating the sensor to the exterior of the cabinet, about 11 inches away from the wall.

The effectiveness of this fix has truly been tested over the past two weeks of extreme cold weather we’ve experienced, and the heater has performed perfectly throughout.

I truly appreciate Nick’s experience, knowledge, and careful attention to my situation. He was professional, highly knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the visit. Based on this experience, I will definitely be a returning customer.

It’s the time of year where the temperature is cold enough to cause plumbing problems. Make sure you protect your Plumbing. Open your kitchen sink cabinet doors and leave your heat turned up. The cost of the additional heat for a few days is a lot less money than hiring a plumber

We have finally received our first full gas bill since you changed over our boiler to the new Viessman. We are thrilled! Not only does the new boiler keep the house at a consistent temperature; once we got the adjustments correct, but it is saving us money. This current bill shows that the average temperature for this period was the same as last year and we used 22.62% less gas; approximately 57 CCF decrease in usage. That works out to be a savings from last year of $61.94; a 18.37% decrease in price. So far so good.

Thank you for the excellent recommendation on the boiler choice and for the excellent work that your team did that day. You have a customer for life.

I recieved a great email as I logged off and left work today for an extra long weekend.......

"Hi Jarrett,

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you - life immediately got crazy and we were only recently able to come back around and get our boiler situation sorted out.

Ultimately we decided to go with a different company that offered 0% financing which will allow us to do the full gas conversion. So I apologize that we couldn't use your services. I would also be remiss not to take the time to sincerely thank you for your time and effort in trying to find a solution that worked for us. I was really struck by your knowledge, integrity, and professionalism.
