Busy week at QC Electric.
We had a couple of crews working with UI on a new commercial service in Orange, followed by a 2,500-amp switchgear issue that required overnight service. Good thing Siemens only charges $800 for after-hours calls... 🥵
Then it was off to an emergency underground secondary repair in Killingworth for Eversource. No power for a week is no joke, especially in this heat.
Another week of keeping the lights on. ⚡️

The last five days have been a whirlwind ⚡️🌨️

While most of us were home riding out the storm, our QC Electric crew packed up and headed to Massachusetts to help get the lights back on. Long days. Cold mornings. Late nights. Repeat.

They haven’t been home all week — just chasing outages, climbing poles, fixing what the storm tried to take down, and doing what they do best.

We’re so proud of this team. Storm work isn’t glamorous. It’s muddy boots, frozen fingers, and a whole lot of grit. But it matters. Every restored home, every powered-up business — that’s someone getting back to normal because of these guys.

Massachusetts, you’ve kept them busy. We’re ready to have them back soon… but until then, we’ll keep cheering them on from home. 💪⚡️

Our school is so excited to be hosting the Apex Remix as our major fundraiser this semester. Apex Remix is a two-week leadership and fitness program that raises money for the top schools in America. Each student will receive daily character lessons and awards as they learn what it takes to be a true leader. They will also be getting pledges for each Fitness Move completed at the Apex Remix. Students will complete between 30-42 Fitness Moves, but no more than 42 max. Please consider donating $1, $3, $5 per Fitness Move or any other amount to help us reach our budget goals for this year. Big milestone for our team! 🎉�We’ve just completed our first substation overhaul for Amtrak , and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We learned a lot, grew as a team, and we’re thrilled to be adding substation work and high voltage to our toolkit moving forward.
Onward and upward! ⚡️

Restoring power during a storm: worth it for the cookies alone. 🍪⚡️
The guys got the lights back on for 6 homes—and even got tipped in cookies. Who needs a raise when you’ve got snacks and gratitude? 😂💡
