Prototyping a new watch box off the CNC this afternoon. Still needs sanding, finish and hinges but I’m pretty excited about it so far. Sapele mahogany carved out on the with the laser to customize the lid.

From designing and on to cutting on the iconic! This nursery sign turned out awesome with the help of greystone to contrast the natural ash color.

Delivery day finally came this morning for this reception stand! This was built to replace one that was too large for the space and was made to maximize functionality by incorporating display shelves and a drawer.

Using has really changed the way I approach the build process. It give me an opportunity to see how a piece will look and be constructed which leads to more efficient shop time. It also makes it easy to clarify the details and make changes before any material is even touched.

First time customizing a cutting board on the cnc and I couldn’t be happier with the result! This bad boy is getting on a plane and heading the Australia soon! Such an awesome feeling having a custom piece in another country.

I will never forget when Kim and I bought our first house. It was a mix of excitement and nervousness. It’s a big commitment in so many ways. Being able to make and give a unique gift to friends that are taking that same step is something that brings me lots of joy. This sign was made using ash stained with graystone and vcarved using the cnc.

Before and after finish on the chess board! It’s amazing how the wood transforms and the grain comes to life.

Putting some more time in on this chess board I’ve been working on! I started making one for myself a while back which I hope to actually finish one day, but for now it served as a nice test run that prepped me to make one for someone else. Maple and Walnut for the playing field which is surrounded by White Oak. The trim will be flush with the top when glued together.
