Here is an example of a locksmith scam job performed right here in North Kingstown just this week. Instead of repairing or replacing the existing lock, the scammers installed a completely ineffective lock style that was both used and mismatched, and left the customer with a bill, a damaged door, and no way to secure their home. Most of you know how a sliding door works. A sliding door with a standard deadbolt in the locked position will simply slide open free as you please! You get what you pay for. Please be cautious when selecting the service personnel you allow into your home.
