Happy National Dog Day to the real boss of TLC Property Services! 🐾👷‍♂️

If you’ve had us out for a project, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve met Cash. He comes to just about every job site, keeps a close eye on the crew, supervises our work, and makes sure nobody gets too comfortable. 😂

He may not be much help when it comes to laying pavers or moving block, but morale wouldn’t be the same without him.

Every crew needs a good boss, we’re lucky ours has four legs. 🐶

Making the backyard accessible again! 👏

Our customer wanted a safe and usable way to get down to her backyard garden area. With this being the only access point, the steep and uneven hillside made getting back there difficult.

We transformed the area with large natural stone steps, paver landings, improved grading, and river rock to create a solid pathway that fits naturally into the landscape.

A railing will also be installed soon to finish everything off and provide even more safety going up and down the hillside.

A huge improvement from where we started and now she can easily access and enjoy her backyard garden!

From an old, undersized brick patio… to a custom outdoor space built to last.

This project started with a vision. We created a 3D rendering so the homeowners could see exactly what their new patio would look like before construction even began. Once everything was approved, we brought it to life.

The result is a spacious new paver patio that’s perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the backyard for years to come.

The final touch? A professional seal coat will be applied in a couple of weeks to enhance the color, protect the pavers, and lock everything in.

Before & after on this patio restoration.

This 15-year-old patio had settled in several areas, leaving low spots and uneven pavers. We pulled everything up, corrected the grade, reset the majority of pavers, installed fresh polymeric sand, and finished it off with a fresh coat of sealer.

It’s always satisfying bringing a patio like this back to life instead of replacing it. What a difference!

One of our favorite projects of the year is officially complete in Lisbon, IA! 🔥

What started as an empty backyard has been transformed into a custom outdoor living space built for entertaining and enjoying for years to come.

This project included:
• Custom deck stairs and landing built down to the new patio
• Concrete slab poured for the swim spa
• Techo-Bloc Blu 60 Slate pavers in Champlain Grey with a Chocolate Brown border
• Willow Creek Ledgestone seat walls and columns
• Custom-built steps leading up to the swim spa
• Integrated low-voltage landscape lighting
• River rock accents and finishing landscape details
• A premium installation from the ground up with proper excavation, compaction, and base preparation

Every detail was carefully planned to tie the deck, patio, swim spa, and fire pit area together into one seamless outdoor living space. The combination of natural stone textures, lighting, and custom hardscape features creates a backyard that’s just as beautiful at night as it is during the day.

Built this double retaining wall system earlier this year and it completely changed the entire back yard layout.

This project gave the homeowners a clean, usable space while solving a major grade transition around the house. The curved upper wall, lower wall, and matching caps tied everything together perfectly and gave the property a much more finished look.

We will be back next spring to start on the other side of the house.

Projects like this take a lot more than just stacking block. Proper excavation, base prep, drainage, and layout are what make walls like this last long term.

Looking forward to getting the other wall done and fully transform this area.

Good progress on this project today. Got the border fully cut in, knocked out the majority of the wall, set the columns, and spent time dialing in a lot of the smaller detail work. Also planning out a few new additions we’ll be tying into the project soon. Starting to really come together 🔥
