The piece that sits between a pair of French doors is called an astragal — and it plays a huge role in keeping your doors sealed, secure, and aligned.
Well… one of our Central Arkansas customers learned that the hard way. 😅
Their massive rottweiler charged through the doorway during an excited moment and busted the astragal clean off the French doors. Total emergency. Total chaos. Total “please help us ASAP” moment.
When we went to replace it, we discovered that no standard astragal from any door company would fit properly. So instead of making the client wait weeks for a custom order, we put our carpentry craftsmanship to work and built a custom astragal in-house.
The result?
A perfectly repaired front door, a secure entryway again, and a customer who was absolutely ecstatic — their Google review says it all!
