Spring is around the corner finally. Time to clean up the leaves and aeration to improve air circulation and make room for new grass seed if needed. Fertilize the lawn soon as the roots are out of dormant able to absorb nutrients and Azaleas too. Prune the bushes. Soon after the Rhododendrons then Hydrangeas and the perennial flowers. Ready for summer.

Our Story

Serving West Michigan since 1991, the Lawn Barber company was created in April 1991. The picture above is from the Muskegon Chronicle April 1992 called Who’s Who & Who’s New featuring the family on the job. We started the business in Whitehall and move a couple years later in North Muskegon. We started with a hand mower and a station wagon with a few lawn rakes. Back then word of mouth was the best way to get more customers of course doing a good job making customers happy and still is the best way doing the job the right way first time or don’t bother doing the job is what we say and earn us the sogan “A Cut Above Rest”. We still to this day have our original customer from 1992. Back then there was only a few lawn care companies in Whitehall and Muskegon areas. Since we started our company Lawn Barber here there is now a lot of companies called Lawn Barber created by ex-employees all over the country we are the original Lawn Barber. Just think back then we put our business in the phone book and ran an AD in the Muskegon Chronicle wow, how things had changed.
