One piece at a time. Wrapping up this hardscape with precision cuts and placement. We’re surrounding this pool and taking hardscaping to the rear doors. Come next year, this place will be a major gathering space for backyard entertainment. Is it summer yet?!

It’s not as glamorous as the final reveal, but this deliberate prep work sets the stage for a seamless install of hardscaping. We’re compacting the ground, setting string lines, and measuring again, again and again to ensure everything aligns as intended. This part can take longer than the install itself, depending on scope, and we take it very seriously here at Viking.

Hardscaping for the Wakefield project will extend from the rear patio doors to around the pool. Design by Kris Romaniak.

Hard to believe that last year this was all dirt. The lawn and plantings have taken root beautifully. The gardens are taking off and the dining area looks lush. The fieldstone retaining wall looks like it was born here. You could even smell the sea in the air. Can’t wait to keep an eye on this one as the years go by!
