Happy Independence Day from Northridge Construction Group!
As we celebrate our nation's freedom with family and friends, let's remember that the best celebrations are the ones where everyone gets home safely.
🎆 Fireworks Safety
• Leave fireworks to trained professionals whenever possible.
• Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby.
• Never relight a firework that doesn't ignite.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance.
🍔 Grilling Safety
• Keep grills at least 10 feet away from homes, decks, and anything combustible.
• Never leave a hot grill unattended.
• Use long-handled grilling tools and check propane connections before lighting.
• Keep a fire extinguisher nearby.
🌊 Water Safety
• Never swim alone.
• Designate a sober adult as the "Water Watcher."
• Wear a properly fitted life jacket while boating or participating in water activities.
• Stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat.
🚧 Safety doesn't take a holiday. Whether you're on the jobsite or enjoying time with loved ones, taking a few extra precautions can prevent accidents and save lives.
From all of us at Northridge Construction Group, we wish you a safe, relaxing, and memorable Fourth of July!
Stay Safe. Stay Smart. Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

⚡ Power Line Safety Starts with Awareness ⚡

Today I had the opportunity to participate in power line safety training with Oncor Electric Delivery. The training served as a great reminder that overhead and underground power lines present serious hazards on every construction site.

Key takeaways:
✅ Always identify power lines before work begins
✅ Maintain minimum approach distances for equipment and materials
✅ Treat all lines as energized unless confirmed otherwise
✅ Use a spotter when operating equipment near power lines
✅ Contact the utility company before excavation or work near electrical infrastructure
✅ Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions are identified

Electrical contact incidents are often catastrophic but entirely preventable through planning, communication, and vigilance.

Thank you to Oncor for investing in contractor education and helping keep our workers, equipment operators, and communities safe.

🎉 Project Complete 🎉

We’re proud to announce the completion of the Tarrant County Criminal Justice Building project! After just over two years of hard work, this project is officially complete and ready to serve the community.

A project of this scale would not have been possible without the dedication and craftsmanship of our incredible subcontractors and partners. We especially want to thank Posadas, G4 Glazing, Rice Drywall, Thor Construction, ESG, Freer Mechanical, Trinity Concrete, Doors Plus, and finally Shirley Masonry for their outstanding work throughout the project.
