Some projects require more than a crew and a crane.

At Active Power, Lifetime Commercial Roofing is serving as the General Contractor on a project that required a carefully coordinated helicopter lift to remove the existing rooftop units and set the new HVAC equipment in place.

Today we had the opportunity to welcome a group of representatives from GAF to Lifetime Commercial Roofing for some hands-on training with our team.

In roofing staying current matters because products change, installation standards evolve, and warranty requirements get updated. Continuing education and maintaining the right certifications help make sure our team understands those changes before we step onto your roof.

For our clients, that means:

• Proper installation according to manufacturer specifications
• Fewer avoidable issues during and after installation
• Access to the right manufacturer warranty options
• A team that understands how to protect those warranties
• Better long-term performance from your roofing system

Training is a vital part of making sure we’re doing the job the right way!

Starting a Business with a Buick and a Drill: The Early Days

Joel shares his children's favorite story about how he started the company. He couldn't afford a truck, so he drilled holes in his Buick LeSabre's roof to mount a luggage rack for a 24-foot ladder. He'd drive down the highway looking like a sailboat, but he was confident in our work and knew it was a season we'd get through.

Construction is officially underway at San Marcos Baptist Academy.

We’re currently replacing the metal roofing systems on the high school, administration building, and cafeteria. These are the first 3 of 24 roof systems included in this campus-wide project, with completion anticipated in September.

Each roof is being installed with 24 gauge mechanically seamed standing seam panels for one of the strongest and most watertight roofing systems available.

Materials are provided by Englert Inc and expertly formed by our friends at North Texas Metal.

We’re excited to share progress as this project continues. More updates are on the way.
