People think that tile is a waterproof product. It is not, the waterproofing is behind the product. Tile is water permeable and will actually wick water up. Just because you have tile floors doesn't mean that you can just pour water over it and nothing happens. The moisture will travel through the grout and pass through the tile, if the exposure is significant. Thankfully with science and innovation these problems have become the foreground for new techniques and products. The old ways were good for what they had back then but the systems are only as good as the installer. Make sure to use good products and techniques to prevent these issues before they get a chance to start.

Some touch up on the paint, a good cleaning and this job is about wrapped up. Its been a massive project for us for sure. Demolished a huge carport and added a 24x46 two floor addition. Demolished the inside of the existing house and brought it all up to new. Very thankful for all the help along the way. Tim Pickett and Luke Pickett have once again done an excellent job plumbing. Jim Haynes and crew has done an outstanding job on keeping the temperature right with new insulation. Jose Lopez and crew who framed the addition. Clint Johnson and crew on the HVAC. NG Johnson and his crew on the electrical Randy Bryan and his crew for some great paint and stain work. E D interiors on the drywall. Completely floored and restored with some great floor work. Jeremy Adams and his crew on the tile work. Precision Gutering on the gutter work. Martin Roofing has kept us dry with some great roof work. David Billings on the cabinet work for the kitchen. Kenny Carroll on the rest of the cabinetry. Lee Bledsoe Concrete did a great job on the porches with some expert form work supervised by me haha. Tarheel Lumber, Lowe's and Parkers Building Supply have helped a bunch. Im sure im forgetting some folks.
