After an extraordinary career & decades of dedicated leadership, Gene Barasch is beginning a well-earned retirement. Throughout his tenure, Gene led The Levy Company with integrity, vision, & an unwavering commitment to excellence, helping build a company known for it's quality, craftsmanship, & strong relationships. More importantly, he built a culture centered on people, trust, & doing the right thing. His leadership has shaped careers of countless employees & left a lasting impact on our customers, partners, & the construction industry. Sunday night the men’s league championship at Canlan ice arena was held, M+I steel faced off against the Carbliss Blue Liners. M+I finished the regular season in first place. They came through the preliminary rounds of the playoffs with a perfect record to play in the championship game. M+I went on to win the league championship with a 3-1 🏆. Congrats to Scott & the rest of the M+I team🏒🎉

All of the local union building trades got together this past Saturday to play in a tournament to support the Brent Sopal foundation. The foundation helps bring awareness and raise money for dyslexia and brain awareness. Each team played a round Robin format in two different divisions, playing three consecutive games back to back to back to determine who would play for the championship. Each team was supported with two former or current professional players. Some of the pros featured were Joe Corvo, Derrick Armstrong , Kyle Calder, Dan Bylsma, Alex Broadhurst and others. The CARPENTERS union came out ahead in their division and went onto the championship as the game kicked off with Jim Cornelison singing the national anthem, the CARPENTERS went on and played Strong and brought home the title and the championship belt. Congrats to Scott Smentek who is part of the team🥳. Some of the upcoming highlights can be seen on the channel 7 show ‘built to last’ that airs on Sunday mornings.
