Today we're highlighting 4th-year apprentice, Glenn Lee, in honor of National Apprenticeship Week!
Q: What inspired you to become an electrical apprentice?
A: I was tired of working factory, food and retail so I decided to take a chance and ended up really enjoying electrical. I had a friend that was an electrical apprentice and I ended up working at the same company because of him.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with the STG Electric team?
A: What I enjoy the most about working with the STG Electric team has to be the diversity of coworkers. You have people that can help you figure out hard pipe bends, and other people that can trace a circuit down in seconds. Getting to work with people that have better experience than you, is great; especially when they are good teachers.
Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in the electrical trade?
A: Take in as much information as you can. It's not as hard as you think, just make sure you're not afraid of hard work.
Q: What is your favorite go-to gas station snack to enjoy on the way to a job?
A: Gas station snack would have to be sour skittles or Doritos. Drinks i usually go for a flavored Red Bull and a Gatorade.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you're not at work?
A: Spend time with my wife and 2 daughters. We enjoying doing arts and crafts together as a family.
