Grill placement is key. This almost was really bad. Fixed this siding in Wadsworth. Note the newer existing siding. The old owner had it done 3-4 years ago. Nothing under it, hate this. The contractor could have at least added a moisture barrier, shame. This is the closest I could find to match, they were happy.

Tear off 1x4 vertical wood
Cut 7 1/4 inches off the lower 1x4s
Add 1x4 horizantally
Cap the bottom with coil
House wrap entire gamble
Starter strip for shake
J channel
5 sq of shake installed
Cap and trim around existing obstacles
Add anti woodpecker things
Replace entire right side of the front rake boards
Replace dark brown section of rear rake edge

New front door and storm door. This one had just a little rot. Had to remove and replace rim joist and sill plate. Sister 2x6s for the rotted ends of the joists. Then install a Provia door and Anderson storm door.

This one took forever, but man what a change. Set the trusses and tied in the addition to the old house, built the front porch, insulation, new doors and storm doors, new windows with custom casings, siding, shake, soffits, PVC garage door casings, gutters, deck, and finally railings. Alot of pride in this one.
