We recently completed converting this living room closet in a kitchen pantry. The closet opening was in the living room. We sealed up the old doorway in the living room. We then took out an old radiator along the wall we wanted the new entrance of the pantry to go. We also sealed up an old window in the kitchen side. After that, we created a new opening into the closet on the kitchen side, repaired the floor where the radiator had been, hung a glass barn door, installed a light in the pantry and tiled the floor in the pantry. The home owners were able to get rid of the very large side board that ate up a lot of room in the kitchen. Now they have more room, a pantry in the kitchen, and have added value to their home.

The homeowner of this house in Norwalk Connecticut wanted to update this dinning room. We worked with them to achieve the look they were after.
We stripped the original wall of the paint to expose the original siding of the house that was enclosed when this addition was built. We re-laid and finished the floors, we re-painted the ceiling and window trim, and we installed new wallpaper on 2 sides. Theis area of the house has been transformed into something mor contemporary, but still gives a nod to the original house.

This home in Norwalk, CT, had extensive water damage all over the exterior of the building. We came in, assessed the damage, and figured out what could be saved and what had to be replaced. Once we started work we quickly realized there was more damage than just met the eye. we replaced all siding that was rotting, replaced trim that needed it, the repainted the house.

This house in Darien was in need of a complete remodel, for both the interior and exterior. We were brought in by the architect to help update some parts of the house, and restore other parts to their original condition. No easy feat considering the house was a post and beam build from the 1800s

We gutted the house, except the original floors, which the owner and architect wanted to restore.

We refurbished the floors, built a new kitchen with vaulted roof, replaced windows, re-did bathrooms from scratch, put in underfloor heating, fixed the original fireplaces, built a new entrance, added the coffered ceiling in the living room.

The floors were a particular challenge. The first two floors were missing boards from the original floor. We salvaged what original flooring we could, from the attic. However there wasn’t enough wood to fill in all the gaps, so we had to work with a floor supply company to search for a reclaimed floor that we could use. We finally got the wood from an old barn in Massachusetts, installed it and then had to treat it to match the original floor.

On the exterior we replaced the roof and siding. We painted the house, and built the new entrance with bluestone and wooden landing.

As part of this whole house renovation in Westport, CT. we built an addition as well. Part of that addition was a new stair well to a new entrance that serves as a mudroom with storage for coats, boots etc.
