Employee Spotlight: Meet Cole Mayer!

Today, we’re proud to highlight Cole. He's been a dedicated member of the Newcomer team for a combined 7 years, including the past 5 years in his current role. Cole keeps our operation running smoothly by managing estimator and foreman lists, handling a high volume of daily calls, and ensuring our mules stay in top working condition through consistent maintenance and repairs.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Cole shared: “I enjoy my crew and the guys I see every day. We have a very good relationship as a team.”

Outside of work, he enjoys hanging out with family and doing handy things around the house. He also collects sports cards and other memorabilia. Cole watches a lot of sports and cheers for Cleveland teams… except for the Browns. He says, “Go Titans!”

Employee Spotlight: Meet Kyle Watson!

Today, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Kyle Watson, a foreman who has been a valued employee of the company for 8 years. Kyle brings experience, leadership, and a strong team mindset to every jobsite.

When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Kyle points to the close bonds built among his teammates. He highlights, “The camaraderie of the crew. We spend hours upon hours driving together, so everyone knows everyone’s family life outside of work.”

Kyle is also proud of a standout production milestone his crew achieved: “A big win for us was breaking a personal record by installing 5,500 feet of underdrain in one day—which is more than a mile!”

Congratulations to Kyle and the entire crew on this impressive accomplishment, and thank you, Kyle, for your leadership, dedication, and teamwork!

Employee Spotlight: Meet Bryan Wiles!

Today, we’re thrilled to feature Bryan Wiles, one of the essential behind the scenes pros who keeps our operation running strong. Bryan has been part of our team for 8 years, and if it needs fixed, tuned, adjusted, or tracked down — Bryan makes it happen.

He handles everything from small tool repairs to hunting down hard to find parts for the Morrisons, always with a can do attitude.

Outside of work, Bryan is just as dedicated. He’s a proud member of two tractor clubs and personally owns four tractors of his own.

When we asked Bryan his favorite part of the job, his answer was simple: “Working with everyone.”

Employee Spotlight: Meet Amanda Griggs!

Today, we’re happy to recognize Amanda Griggs, one of the steady hands and friendly faces that keep our company moving forward every single day. After 25 years with us in the office, Amanda has become the definition of dependable, hard working, and a true creature of habit — in the best possible way.

What does she love most about her job? “Believe it or not, my favorite daily responsibility is doing the schedule. My goal every day is to make it go as smoothly as possible.”

Amanda thrives on structure, coordination, and the satisfaction of keeping things organized and our office running smoothly.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys the simple things that matter most — time with family and friends and being outdoors whenever she can. Her sense of community shines both in and out of the office, and we’re grateful for those traits she brings to our team.

Today, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Nate McIntyre, one of the hardworking foremen who keeps our crews moving and our projects on track.

With 11 years as part of our team, Nate brings strong leadership, skill, and a commitment to safety and quality to every jobsite. From coordinating the day’s work to helping the crew tackle challenges, he leads by example and takes pride in getting the job done right.

What does Nate enjoy most about the job? “Hands-down, the best part of the job is the crew; I truly enjoy all the guys I get to work with every day.”

When Nate isn’t on the job, you can usually find him hanging out with his wife and two daughters. He is excited for a third baby on the way! They all look forward to traveling down to Florida in the winter months.
