Back in heart of December we had the opportunity to raise these two frames on an historic property in Bowdoinham. The large frame in particular was pretty special in that it sat atop an absolutely gorgeous stone foundation expertly crafted by Both frames feature the usual custom craftsmanship by in traditional style. Timbers are rough sawn Maine harvested Hemlock and finish is boiled linseed oil.

No time like the present to get a little caught up on the posts. To round out our 2025 year we raised 5 frames between thanksgiving and Christmas. The first two were our largest community support projects to date. We were asked by our friends at the Fare Share Co-op to help them problem solve their perennial winter access woes at their delivery and public entrances. A pair of beefy free standing shed roof additions were the result of some good collaboration between us and a team of the Co-op members.

A couple weeks ago we trekked up to Sugarloaf USA on a very Halloween type day to install these awesome trusses on a new West Mountain ski house. Simple and elegant in design but quite tricky to pull off the guys knocked it out of the park assembling these at the shop. We had to utilize Douglas Fir timbers to achieve the necessary strength as these will be hammered by the wind and hopefully buried in snow soon!

Too busy to post! Earlier in the fall we had the pleasure of raising a sweet little 24’x38’ frame that will become a beloved home on the shores of North Pond in Norway. Locally harvested and milled Eastern Hemlock crafted with care.

Well it’s been a minute hasn’t it? Time to get caught up on all the exciting stuff going on. First up is this sweet little sugar house raised a couple weeks ago in Casco. With a 14’x18’ footprint and a side shed to boot this thing will see lots of activity on this property. Traditional joinery in Maine harvested Hemlock timbers. Nothing finer!

We kicked off the week and the first day of time change by beginning and ending the day with our headlamps! In between the dawn and dusk we were able to get this awesome 30x40 high posted cape raised. Maine harvested and sawn Eastern White Pine with all of the signature !

Well that’s a wrap! Our 4 day raising trip to NH culminated yesterday with the successful completion of the ell bump out of the main frame. This project essentially amounted to three separate structures, each with its unique character and spirit. We enjoyed endless amounts of sunshine, near constant wind, blowing leaves, and excellent hospitality from superb clients. Can’t wait to see the finished pics on this one!

Little off grid cabin in the woods? Yes please! We’re in NH this week enjoying the stellar weather and raising multiple components of this multifaceted project. Yesterday was this 14x26 mono slope cabin. Rough sawn Maine harvested timbers, linseed oil finish, and sweet simplicity. Add a wood stove and all is well in the world! Crane day today!

What a wild and busy summer it’s been! Time to play catch up, going back to this May raising up on Mt Desert Island! This garage/apartment frame is the first phase of a multi year project. scope consisted of the fab and raising as well as the ceiling boarding and weather membrane. From here the clients took it over and have had a busy summer doing the enclosure work. Timbers are Maine sawn and harvested Eastern White Pine and Eastern Hemlock.
