Do you have a chimney? 🏠
We are finding that new builds are frequently skipping the chimneys and just relying on heat pumps or electricity for heat. While convenient, it can be pretty expensive to heat with electricity and if the power goes out, so does the heat.
Our home didn't come with a chimney, but we plan to install one with a woodstove for a source of self-reliant, backup heat.
