They wanted a freestanding tub. So we got them one.

To make it happen in this Braintree condo, we cut through the concrete floor into the parking garage below to relocate the plumbing. That's the kind of problem a full rebuild turns up, and it opened room for a linen tower the old layout couldn't fit. We took the whole bath down to the studs and opened up a wall that had closed off the toilet and shower, turning two tight spaces into one.

You've probably never seen a ceiling like this.

Part 2 of his favorite details. A custom recessed bamboo piece that separates the kitchen from the dining area, no wall needed. "It came out beautiful. I get to look at it all the time."

The backsplash vote came in 2 to 1. He was the 1. A single slab of granite behind the cooktop, and he wasn't sold on it. It's now his favorite part of the kitchen. Favorite part 2 coming soon.
