⚡ EV CHARGER CIRCUIT UPGRADE ⚡

Another EV charging setup corrected and upgraded by Wired Up Electric LLC! 🔌🚗

This customer was having issues with their EV charger, and after troubleshooting the circuit, we found undersized wiring feeding the charging equipment. With EV chargers operating as continuous loads, having the proper conductor size, breaker protection, and connections is extremely important.

Here’s what we took care of:

⚡ Troubleshot the existing EV charger circuit
⚡ Removed the undersized wiring
⚡ Installed new 6/3 copper cable for the proper circuit capacity
⚡ Utilized and modified the existing raceway where possible
⚡ Mounted and properly terminated the ClipperCreek EV charger
⚡ Installed a 50-amp straight-blade receptacle for additional charging flexibility with another vehicle
⚡ Checked all grounding and connections
⚡ Energized, tested, and verified proper operation

Another hot tub/spa electrical installation completed by Wired Up Electric LLC! ⚡️

For this project, we:

⚡ Ran 1” PVC conduit for a clean, protected installation
⚡ Installed a 60-amp max unfused spa disconnect
⚡ Installed a 50-amp double-pole Square D QO breaker at the main panel
⚡ Pulled 6/3 conductors from the main panel to the spa disconnect
⚡ Installed the required 50-amp GFCI protection for the hot tub circuit
⚡ Terminated all connections at the disconnect and hot tub
⚡ Energized and tested the system for proper operation

Hot tubs require more than simply getting power to them. Proper GFCI protection, grounding/bonding, conductor sizing, disconnect location, and weather-resistant installation are critical around water.

✈️⚡ Proud to Be a Part of Something Big for Clarksburg! ⚡✈️

Some jobs mean a little more than just getting the work done, and this was definitely one of them.

Wired Up Electric LLC had the opportunity to perform some of the electrical work at the new airport terminal in Clarksburg, WV, and I’m proud to say we had a hand in a project that’s going to serve our community for years to come.

For this project, we removed approximately 230 ft of existing #1 AWG wire, extended the raceway another 130 ft for a total run of roughly 360 ft to the 3-phase 600V MDP, and pulled new 2/0 THHN conductors for the upgraded circuit.

We also replaced the existing 125A 3-phase breaker with a 150A 3-phase breaker, made all the necessary terminations, and got everything energized, tested, and ready to go. 💪⚡

But what makes this one especially cool for me is seeing people I know personally be a part of making something like this happen.

A huge congratulations to my friend Richard B. Rock Airport Director, and Shawn Long Deputy Airport Director, the best right hand man you can have 🫡 . I know a project of this size doesn’t happen overnight. There’s a lot of work, pressure, planning, and dedication behind the scenes that most people never see.

You guys should be proud of what you’ve helped build for Clarksburg and North Central West Virginia.

For us, it’s pretty awesome to be able to drive past that new terminal and say, “We had a hand in that.” Wired Up Electric LLC 😎

⚡️ CUSTOM 400-AMP POWER DISTRIBUTION BUILD ⚡️

Another commercial project coming together at Wired Up Electric LLC!

We custom-built two 200-amp Eaton panels, with each panel designed to supply five dedicated 240V / 50A receptacles.

🔹 (2) 200-amp load centers
🔹 (10) dedicated 240V / 50A circuits
🔹 (10) 2-pole 50-amp breakers
🔹 (10) heavy-duty 240V receptacles
🔹 Custom layout and panel assembly
🔹 Raceway, boxes, conductors & terminations
🔹 Built and organized for a clean field installation

That gives this setup 10 individual 240V power connections between the two panels.

A lot of planning, measuring, fabrication and wiring goes into a setup like this before it ever reaches the jobsite. Building it in the shop allows us to keep everything clean, organized and ready for installation.
